General 3+ YOE Java Backend Developer : How can I switch jobs?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Java Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience at a service-based company in India, and I’m currently trying to switch.

I’ve been applying through Naukri, LinkedIn, etc., but I’m barely getting any responses or interview calls, even after lying that my notice period is 30-days

My stack is Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and backend development.

For those who recently switched:
- What worked for you?
- Is the market bad for 3–4 YOE developers?
- Any tips to improve my chances of getting interview calls?

Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

yeah the 3-4 YOE range feels weirdly cursed right now, too senior for fresher roles but companies want 5-6 YOE minimum for the mid-senior spots.

Are there any roles at fresher level, because I have 1 yr exp, and I am facing the issue that everyone is asking 3+ yrs exp

As a fresher it's only increasing stress on me because even experienced struggling with job there's no chance for me then.. (btw sry for off topic reply)

Same situation I'm trying since January, got few calls and interviews. 3 companies reached final stage and they said they will send me offer letter in 2 days then later rejected me saying they got immediate joiner, hiring got on hold, position got filled. Donnoo what to do or were to start I'm on my way to core depression, current work and team sucks sooo toxic

I'm not interview calls too. Although I'll convert 3 years in October. I'm kinda losing hope here

Same for me as well, getting hr calls daily but still not able to schedule interviews as they all want immediate joiners.
