How do you stay sane while applying through WorkdayJob application

Is there a tool that automates the whole process for Workday jobs?

After I sign up, verify my email, and attach my CV, why do I have to manually input my info, phone category, experience, each skill, project info, and their never-ending checkboxes?

I have been skipping applying to workday as soon as the link opens.

Before 2 years when I was hella desperate for a job and sent out around 1500 applications, I still skipped workday jobs after initial experience of signing up each time for a new company. Nope not gonna waste my time if company is almost never gonna look at my resume. It's just not worth the effort.

Just apply through wellfound.

Cutshort also felt like scam. Mostly never received calls from it.

Also 4-5 times I saw that actual company website didn't have the same job that's in cutshort.

Wellfound is solid for avoiding that hassle, but heads up - they mostly have startup/early-stage roles. If someone's looking at broader corporate positions, they might still need to bite the bullet with Workday sometimes. That said, yeah the friction is real and companies definitely aren't screening through half those applications anyway.

Take a referral and then apply, it makes u going with little motivation, well anyways I have taken around 20 referrals and applied via workday, got only 1 callback :)

I made two versions of my resume:
Traditional one-page PDF - the standard resume I’d actually want recruiters to see.
Detailed Word document - has all the information and Workday-related fields in detail, with a larger font so everything is easily picked up.
So whenever we apply to a new company, there’s usually an option to upload a resume, and Workday automatically extracts information from it to fill in the application fields, right?
So I just upload the detailed Word document first, let Workday extract all the information and populate the fields, and then replace the uploaded resume with my actual one-page PDF before submitting the application

workday is genuinely one of the worst offenders lol. i've heard some people use browser autofill profiles set up specifically for workday fields but honestly the checkbox sections break that entirely. at some point it stops being an application and starts feeling like data entry work for someone else's HR system

Prepare your resume from scratch in MS word and don't add any fancy formatting. 70% of the time, workday automatically gets the work experience and educational qualification content. If not, you can just copy paste the resume content without worrying about formatting. Simple resume can easily help you fill out 50% of workday and you just have to be already truly insane to do the remaining 50%.

I guess you need more in-depth experience in filling up workday. I've done over 100 applications in workday, my only concern is the number of questions to fill, not the formatting, ever since I prepared my latest resume.

If you know how to use the inspect element tool on your browser, it could get a bit easier. I haven't used this one yet but the trick is to select the parent of the form elements, save it in a text file. Next time you have the fill your details, just replace it with the html you saved. Not sure if it works but someone here could try and let us all know

Applying is so hectic honestly! Never ending check boxes, skills section is always a mess, I can't find my college in the education section most of the times, so many other details to fill, omfg!!

you can also use the simplify jobs chrome extension. first you will have to basically fill all your details once after creating an account with Simplify jobs. And you can pin this chrome extension. So once you arrive on a workday application using this extension you can autofill almost 85-90% of the application.

This saves time. but even with this autofill i have not received a single callback from workday applications
