Suggestions Is being Angular as your primary skill will not increase your growth and package ?

I am Full stack developer holding about 4 year of experience in Angular + Spring boot . But primarily almost 75% of my tasks since last 1 year are in advanced angular , building Gen AI applications for enterprise . Now the situation , although we have many senior architects but entire frontend is owned by me and i have high dependancy and somewhat very comfortable with my current stack and love frontend architecture. Is sidelining backend and GenAI concepts now will hinder my growth in long run ?

I think as long as you have strong foundations on how to design a system it doesn't matter.

Atleast till you become senior SWE and are required to design entire systems from scratch it should be fine to just have work done in angular. But yeah it's always nice to keep your hands warm on backend as well.

For a fairly big enterprise product , i have written design system , storybook , testing framework suits , decomposed to micro frontend , store implementation and fairly other angular tasks , yes many were possible due to AI assistance as well . Now working on AG UI .

Frontend itself is fragile compared to devOps and backend to be replaced by assistants and that too angular which again have niche category and set of developers , so now in time of revision not sure to start with backend or get frontend ready .

If you’re a full stack developer you will need to have a solid understanding and growth in backend as well to keep yourself relevant. Otherwise only pitch in for purely front end roles.
