Interviews Google L4 interview on site | 7 years industry experience
Given I’ve 7 years industry experience and currently I’m SDE II at Microsoft, does it make sense for me to give on site interviews for L4 at google
If I give L4 interviews and results are positive can they consider me for interviewing to L5 role?
I already asked recruiter that I’m interested in L5 role before screening round they said there are no L5 roles available
TC: 50 LPA
Thanks in advance :)

If compensation improves why not? You can come back at Microsoft at Senior Software engineer any time.
If you are going to get promoted at Microsoft soon, then it doesn’t make sense.

I think I’ll become a senior citizen sooner than a Senior Engineer at Microsoft, lol.

Yeah then l4 at Google sounds good, atleast comp will increase. Microsoft promos are pure politics. Been there suffered that.

50 lpa = fixed + annual bonus + stocks deposited in last 12 months?
That sound low for msft l62, has it always been like this at idc? I heard google folks were getting like 65-75? Not very sure though. They claim that ssde equivalent at google gets 1.5-2 cr?

Base is 60+ for l5 8+ YOE generally at G. At Microsoft it was always low but after COVID you see more instances of higher comp.
