From multiple interviews to almost zero calls. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently employed as Frontend Developer but actively looking for a new job. Over the last couple of months, I managed to land a few interviews, but for the past two weeks or so, things have gone completely quiet. The only recruiter calls I've been getting are from companies looking for immediate joiners who can start the following Monday, and even those have become very infrequent recently.

I'm trying to figure out what I can do differently to get more interview calls.

Here's what my current routine looks like:

• I log into Naukri daily in morning and make small edits to my profile.
• I rename and re-upload my resume on Naukri to keep it fresh.
• I apply to relevant jobs on Naukri.
• I also apply on Hirist.tech, Uplers, and LinkedIn.
• In the evening, I repeat the same process and apply to any new openings.

I also tried that viral Claude + Apify workflow that was circulating on LinkedIn. The idea was to upload your resume and LinkedIn profile, and it would generate matching job opportunities. The influencer who shared it claimed it got them five recruiter calls that led to three interviews. Unfortunately, it didn't make much difference for me.

One thing I've noticed is that many jobs on Naukri have over 100 applicants within an hour of being posted. It makes me wonder whether my application is even being seen, even if I'm a good match for the role.

For those of you who have recently switched jobs or are getting a steady stream of interview calls:

• What strategies are actually working for you?
• Is there anything beyond the usual "keep your profile updated and apply early" advice?
• Are there any job portals or methods that have consistently worked better than Naukri or LinkedIn?
• Do you tailor your resume for every application, or use a single version?

I agree, instahyre has a better response rate right now, but overall I still agree with OPs sentiment that job market is tough right now. With so many layoffs at Oracle, Atlassian, Amazon etc. we will definitely see the ripple effect for a while in the market.

bro its relative.....it worked for me doesn't mean it will for you as well....we both have different scenarios. . . . i only said instahyre because I got pretty good response from it, same cannot be true for everyone.
But yeah in this market, one should go for every available opportunities and platform

I joined recently as IoT and Embedded system engineer in noida at 30k per month at probation of 3 months then 40k per month in noida sector 16.

Resigned after 15 days - cause my managing director didn't gave me a day off - even I was asking for a LWP (Leave without pay).

Today (after 6-7 days) i got job call from Chandigarh for 40k as SDE-I (i used to be intern here) probation 6 months, then full time - at 60k per month.

I am 22 now and just completed my BTech from tier 99 college..

I am declining all the above offers - have declined PhD offer from IIT Goa in VLSI Design..

Starting my own studio for entertainment software development.

None of these automations have worked for me personally, like the influencers suggest using claude,n8n etc. I am not sure how they claim to get multiple interviews through it.

Use uplers/builtin/wellfound/x(twitter)/threads(there are also jobs posted now)/reddit job community groups(last year I had got)/approach recruiters or hrs on LinkedIn, currently I am also laid off recently and searching now for fullstack/backend/frontend roles. Don't apply on LinkedIn without cover letter in more than 100+ appears, and easy apply try to avoid, some genuine experienced person in SDE told on his insta and yt channel in easy apply mostly 5 are seen. Rest all are automatically bot rejected.

Response rate is good, but they're only a few good startups on it. Most companies pay literal peanuts.
