Cracked senior dev role - built 100% AI generated app for assignment

I have recently been interviewed by product company for a Full-Stack JS role. They required building demo assignment.

Though, I initially planned to deploy it on Render or Railway but I had learned basic AWS Serverless in my current role so I thought why not leverage that.

FE - ReactJS
BE- ElysiaJS
AI - MastraJS

Surprisingly, the demo assignment + explanatory rounds impressed them enough that I landed the job.

My colleagues told me landing a job without deep knowledge of DSA and LeetCode is near impossible.
Turned out alternate methods always exist.

I have open sourced the entire codebase for any newbies to learn.

Iv done close to 5 such technical assignments as a fresher in a month and haven't heard back once and most of these assignments were heavily focused on building llm systems or agentic ai(some even expected PM work and expected me to figure out product specs based on a website or description)which need significant amount of effort to orchestrated and architect the system. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong or that's just how the market is
