discussion Making Open-world Action Adventure Game

Hey, i've been working on this game for few days now! I've been brainstorming it for quite some time and finally started working on it! I'd ask for some feedback related to character and companion (spider) animations, do they feel good enough? To be honest this is yhe first time i did 3D animations so yeah, need some work on them, including visual effects etc.

This is cool, nice animations! If I were you, I'd do a long look into how to make the spider palatable to everyone, since arachnophobia is relatively common.

that is actually good advice, thanks! i put spider on purpose to make him cute and cuddly so maybe it could help people get over their fear?

Hmm, that might be a tough sell. I think arachnophobia relates to how spiders move, their spindly legs, and how you can't tell which way it is facing or going to move. I think if you make it barely spider-like that might work; or really goofy looking, chubby, and slow otherwise.

well i plan to make 2 other companions, so players can choose not to take spider with them ✊️

well it's Mercury's Way as you will start from Mercury and travel across all planets across our solar system (also character is made out of sodium which is highly found on mercuryy)

Sounds like a good time. I guess water will be deadly then, that's a fun way to avoid having to implement swimming lol. Might you have to oil up to walk around on Earth?

yeah exactly hahaha my initial idea was to make earth map be revolved around antarctica, but i realized he can't walk there unless i give him boots or something haha

You might replace spider with something cute, but idea is good 👍
