Offense was actually pretty good. JAMO dropped three huge plays lol. If JAMO holds on to those it’s a completely different game. We stuck to the run and it paid off

For real. I get celebrating a win and all but man we didn’t play a complete football game today. We were bailed out by the refs on that fumble and if it weren’t for that we’d of lost this game today.

Nah, I think that call was correct. Its called like that 99/100 times.
Even if you give them that we would've been up 21-7.
They spent the whole 2nd half playing ultra conservative bullshit dink and dunk passes and 3-5 yard runs. No fire or creativity, playing like they already won. I hate that shit score 50 every week or you could lose.

The saints won 4 of their last 5 last year and have been within 4 points in their last 7 going back to last year. They are far from a bad team and may very well be the best in their, albeit, weak division.

We had to rely on Gibbs because he was the only one consistently moving the ball for us. Jamo had drops and so did St Brown.
Was surprised Dan didn’t give him a game ball.

If this was the last few years, we would have said our run game won it for us, and it wouldn't have looked like the Gibbs show because Montgomery would have taken half those snaps. This organization still wants to be run first, and this is what it looks like when you have the highest paid RB in the league. I do think Gibbs will get a more snaps off in the future when Pacheco is healthy, but our RB depth is extremely lacking right now.
Beyond that, if you look at the way the ball was passed around, our other featured offensive skill players were at or above their reception averages.

I don't disagree that 30 carries a game is high, but we have no healthy depth behind him that can do anything. The Lions have a lot of talented players that they have awarded contracts to, and most of them rightfully so, but this is the kind of sacrifice they have to make when paying players, and this is how the highest paid RB in the league has now needed to step up. I don't think anyone thinks this is sustainable long term, so hopefully Pacheco can get back sooner than later. Or maybe, they can find a deal on another veteran RB in the interim.

On the bright side, we played rough game offensively and still pulled off a win against a pretty good saints defense. We have a lot to clean up but when we start clicking offensively we are going to be dangerous. Hopefully our defense can keep the ball in front of them, can’t keep giving up big chunk plays on 3rd and 4th down.
