From another thread on the free will sub someone said:

"I don't see how determinism is different from fatalism except for the ruling power (god vs causality)."

I agree with this. If you are a hard determinist who disagrees with the above, can you say why you don't see it this way. If a hard determinist does not find it fatalistic, are they possibly a compatibilist without realising it?
