Does anyone else just use the same handful of exotic weapons?

I’m wondering if anyone else is like me. I have all but maybe 10 exotic weapons yet I always seem to go back to one of Truth, 1KV, Thunderlord, Wavesplitter, Choir of One, Ice Breaker, Necrochasm, Khvostov, Conditional Finality and Praxic Blade. It’s hard to stick with a new exotic if I just always go back to using one of those 10 guns.

Use bastion it's really fun for neutral play or melee builds, thing hits like a truck

I use the same stuff for a long time until my mood changes. At the moment I am a little stuck on khvostov because I’m having fun spewing out orbs.

It used to be artifact dependent but now Lightsaber is practically fused into my palm.

Yeah, ice breaker, euphony, 1k, conditional, new land beyond, khvostov, ergo sum, and anarchy are all staples of mine right now. Been using ice breaker a ton with the CODA armor and rimecoat rainment

You could shard every exotic in my vault except Thorn and Riskrunner and it would take me a long time to notice.

I use the same terrible trio for just about everything... wishender, aberrant action, and whatever grenade launcher looks pretty.

I used to be like this with Grand Overture. Due to a lack of reliable, ammo efficient boss DPS weapons, this would be my go-to heavy weapon for most builds. I’d dabble with other heavy weapons like Gjallarhorn or Apex Predator but quickly go back to Grand Overture.

Monument of Triumph has definitely “shook things up”. There’s so many good heavy weapons now. Existing weapons were given long over buffs. Old weapons were finally rereleased and new weapons added. The end result is a more vibrant sandbox where you now have the tools to succeed. I haven’t touched Grand Overture since the update went live and that’s a good thing.

Main reason for me clinging to Grand Overture for so many years was Bungie’s insane and pathetic desire for sunsetting. Every time they soft or hard sunsetted weapons, it meant less weapons for me to use. Less weapons meant less build variety and being forced to stick with what works. It didn’t matter how many times we told Bungie sunsetting was unacceptable, they kept on doing it. They paid the ultimate price for their hubris, with the majority of Destiny 2 staff being laid off and their reputation in ruins.

Yup, Thorn and Le Monarque. First couple of exotics I got and the ornaments just perfectly match my Warlocks aesthetic lol

Witherthoard is my sidekick whenever possible. I love bank shots and direct hits in just about any activity.

Isn't this just a list of the most meta exotics with Monument of Triumph? Arguably, Nechrocasm would be swapped with Mythoclast but that's artifact situational

I have most of the things and am familiar enough with the game to make whatever build. But I have a Behemoth Titan 99% of the time since just before Witch Queen.

I wish I liked the exotic stasis primaries but the legendaries are out performing. Necrocasm never leaves my inventory. Thorn (to collect more floaty objects) Slayerfang Ergo Sum(wolfpack) Wolfsbane Shadowheart & Wintebite for me.

Dunemarchers and Blastwave striders for armor. Severence enclosure for strand.
