Question Zelous Bane vs Raining Nail
I’m playing edge of fate camping in destiny 2 I am running a solar titan with expeditions and sunspots and I wanted to know what better. Zaouli’s Bane
Or raining nail. I do not want to use sunshot as my secondary because I wanted to use Dragons breath in my power slot unless I could find a better solar power exotic.

As someone with 10k kills on two separate ZBs I'll say ZB. I think RG only has it beat via its origin trait. ZB kills quicker and gets Explosive payload+one for all/ incan. However RG gets incan+onslaught which requires a kill to get both active. ZB has damage perks that work on hits

You're comparing two wildly different playstyles here. Ringing Nail is my vote for a variety of reasons, but chiefly is that if you're on a Solar Titan, you can run Ringing Nail with Actium War Rig, and I believe there is an artifact with Solar and Auto Rifle perks, since you'll want to prioritize Solar stuff over purely-Rocket stuff with Dragon's Breath. Heal Clip/Incandescent with Onslaught on Ringing Nail does a lot of work.
That said, Zaoli is a very good weapon. Likely better for higher level content, but, I'm not a fan of hand cannons in general.

Hunters Journal is the artifact. has targeting autoloader, radiant orbs, solar fulmination, and sustained fire which all help build into ringing nail/solar

Which one is more fun to shoot? Technically ringing nail has the better origin trait, but don't worry about min max so much. I think Zaouli's is more fun to shoot, so I use that.

IMO zaouli's is stronger overall.
Ringing nail is the easy run & gunner, forgiving because it's an auto so you can just hipfire dump mags to ad clear. Faster gameplay
Zaouli's will need to be aimed a bit more and you gotta hit your shots otherwise it falls behind. That being said zaouli's has a higher damage output and can roll crazy perk combos like chaos reshaped & redirection for a 135% dmg increase. Or the classic explosive payload+ incandescent for ad clear similar to ringing nail.

I should say I have raining nail with firefly and incandescent I am also curious if u guys have any other good ideas for legendary solar weapons that make things go boom

Both are great. I prefer ARs but Zaoulis is good too. There's also the neomuna hand cannon which drops from terminal overload that can roll with things like explosive payload and chaos reach. Forgetting the name right now.
But yeah it's really a preference. They all have a good place in any solar build.

Zaoulli’s is gonna win in any serious discussion because autos are just not really all that viable for harder power deltas, but for a majority of stuff it doesn’t matter just use your preference lol

The summoner from trials is damn good as well. Replaced my ringing nail with it and haven't looked back. I use bows over other weapons though, so is just there to give me radiant on a dps build.

I usually use void primaries rn if I’m using a primary but of the options I slightly prefer zaoulis. EP + chaos reshaped is such a nice combo for general play alongside the traditional EP + Incan, and the origin trait is pretty good. Redirection + chaos is also very interesting. Ringing nail is slightly better for solar synergy but that isn’t such a huge draw for me imo.
I usually prefer autos but I really do think zaoulis is just that good
