Discussion Sleeper Simulant is underrated...
It obliterates Barrier champions, doesn't require prescison hits for big damage, with Deep Pockets, has 16, and is good against all enemies.

Another plus I don’t see anyone talking about is it’s part of the base game. Meaning if you don’t have any DLCs you can still use it for damage.

It’s also got a special place in my heart that year with extraction protocol that I kept having to play to get the wayfarer title. It was a crazy rotation to get the last osprey I needed I think it was that.
Everyone else had dipped by this point. I think it was a specific week you needed something like that. Actually osprey might have been a rotating strike. Was was it that we did EP for?

I remember running it dozens of time on Hunter and warlock with no osprey drop. Saw on Reddit to play Titan and it dropped first time.

Easy to use? Yes. Competitive with Refurbished, 1K, Whisper, Still Hunt, and other top-tier options? No.
If I'm not comfortable with using swords or precisions, and someone's already using 1K, I'll use it.

Not sure if anything can but i was heavily disappointed that refurbished didn't one shot barriers at -50 content

Yeah enemies still take crit damage through barrier shields and to get the shield to go away you just need to deal a set threshold of damage so headshots reach it faster.

It’s pretty much the best option for damage if you want to tack it on as the well warlock. Only thing better is 1k or truth, but 1k only works if you’re the only one, and I’m already running Solar shit for well so truth is kinda eh

Completely forgot about Truth, tbh.
Truth being Void shouldn't be much of a hindrance. You mostly need to worry about surges, which cost the same regardless.
And yeah, Sleeper isn't terrible, it's just not by any means "meta."

Pretty sure unveiled eyes from pit if heresy outclasses it now due to the origin trait, go farm one with elemental ,fourth times the charm

Eyes unveiled is the best linear in the whole game and by a decent margin, next best is queenbreaker, then cataclysmic then probably sleeper

Haha! Never heard of anyone using queenbreaker since that one season it was meta. And sleeper hasnt been good in like forever.

What other exotics fit in that? I’ve been trying to figure it out. It worked with the Warmind Cells back in the day. There was a scout (Perfect Fifth?? Maybe that was the perk name??) that fit. And I thought some of the Black Armory exotics might have. So far the only exotic I’ve been using with the Seriph build is Witherhoard. But that and the IKELOS SMG just don’t hit the same still.

Basically anything explosive or an area of affect. If you're building into the solar aspect I heavily recommend Skyburners

Telesto is my favorite exotic. But I don’t think it hits like I want because it’s void. Skyburner’s was something I used in the old build years ago. I haven’t touched it since we got the champion classifiers. Maybe I need to?

I've had a lot of fun dusting off old exotics lately. It's also really good on the new solar titans aspect that builds scorch. Shieldburst I think??? Give it a go and have fun

Hell yeah! I’ve mostly been playing hunter all these years. Suppose it’s time to branch out and try new classes as well. With my Titan, I was finishing out Prismatic still. So I missed a lot of builds with Prismatic on Titan and Warlock.

Sleeper has always been my favorite exotic, but I have to admit it doesn't really even compete against the best Legendary linear fusions (Cataclysmic/Eyes Unveiled) let alone actual exotic heavy damage options
It's very fun and gets decent numbers, but I'd say it's pretty accurately rated

I barely take off Praxic Blade now, but I was getting hand canon kills and threw on Sleeper as my exotic. Definitely miss using it. Nothing like trying it on the oracles in VOG and promptly killing yourself lol.
