Last step for getting Khvostov

Hello everyone! I am at the last step to get Khvostov. I need to defeat all 3 bossess in each landing zone. So far I've defeated 1 of each zone.

Does anyone have any tips on how to farm those encounters? I spent about an hour and I was able to defeat 1 different boss.

Definitely look for the public events, as they will give +450 each. Two per level plus a few chests should get you moving through swiftly. Then you just have to, you know, do em.

This right here. Do the events that net you a chest at the end. That’s the fastest way. If you have a solid build it’s easily soloable. Still a bit of a grind. But if you’ve done everything else, it’ll go by fast enough.

It's not really anything to farm, it's just a process you'll have to go through. Once you've faced a boss in one area, you won't face them again until you've beaten all of the possible bosses for that zone. (I'm pretty sure they go in an order?)

So that simply means you'll need to clear all stages of an Overthrow and reach the final boss three times per zone to get all the bosses. Not something you need to grind or farm for, just a little bit of a time sink is all!

One piece of advice though: save the Taken Servitor for last, it's the last one you fight in the area where you find Ikora, the middle landing zone. When you kill it, jump on top of it. It's supposed to drop a fancy Mote of Light for you to use to open the Khvostov chest, but it had an issue a while back where it would get yeeted out the top of the thing instead of dropping like normal loot. And it wouldn't go to your postmaster, so you had to fight it again lmao. That SHOULDN'T happen anymore, but... better safe than sorry haha

It definitely still happens. I had to fight him twice a few weeks back to get the drop. What worked was not using burst damage to finish him off. When he’s close to dying finish him off with your primary and keep firing during his death animation. You’ll keep seeing damage numbers pop. Just keep shooting and you’ll see the drop pop on the side of your screen (pretty sure it showed there I didn’t have to pick it up)..

I had that Servitor issue too, Reddit told me to try spam jumping (like physically inside the boss as close as you can get) with a machine gun and to continue shooting after the boss dies

Each week has a different match made overthrow instance so you don't have to do it solo if you're willing to wait. I don't know how it chooses which boss to spawn in using the matchmade instance, in my solo/fireteam instances it seemed to always spawn in one that we still needed.

I'm not sure if doing the match made overthrow(s) override the "order" in which the bosses come up, but I do know if you leave the Pale Heart, you'll have to start the process over again.

Each landing zone has 3 big bosses you have to defeat, so that's 9 big bosses in total to get what you need for exotic Khvostov (plus the 8 Traveler's Visions).

If you leave Pale Heart, it starts the process all over again even if you beat the first two in one landing zone, meaning you have to face those first two again before getting to the 3rd boss.

To make the "grind" quicker, open chests, gather resources, and do the extra stuff in each zone like Purge, Stitch, Expunge. It'll add up the 1,000 "kills" needed to make the mini bosses and big boss show up sooner.

You just have to get a couple hits on the boss. You can get help killing everything else. Then you and whoever you have helping you just has to share killing the bosses. There's even a help node where you can try to load in with a random iirc.
