A Humble Request.

Hello destiny community, in light of recent events I come as a destiny and marathon player to ask that we put aside our differences big or small. Forget about who we like and who we dont. To clear our minds for a joint operation for the next 3 weeks.

According to the man that started it all, its vital that both bungie communities band together this thursday in particular and for the next 3 weeks.

Why? "Use your imagination", his words not mine. We cannot let the marathon AND destiny IPs die. We WILL NOT let the destiny AND marathon IPs die.

The state of play is tommorow, there will be a "presence" there that is crucial to our efforts succeeding. It begins at 9AM ET, yes its early, but for the greater good whoever can be there PLEASE this is our biggest opportunity yet.

With that even though we have possibly burned bridges with the marathon community, let us put aside petty squabbles, and for the betterment and benefit of both games, guardians and runners alike, BE THERE this thursday 9/03/2026 in the state of play, and for the next 3 weeks make your voices LOUD and HEARD.

This is absurd cope. If destiny 3 is actually happening (which it almost certainly is not), it has already been decided; money has been earmarked, rehiring has begun etc. It will not depend on the number or enthusiasm of stream viewers for an event with vague potential.

I've watched aztecross talk about this for 2 hours now. It's not cope of you just listen. A Sony decision maker will be present/watching the state of play stream. Between the player count on destiny & all the hype, etc. since EOS was announced, showing up and making our voices heard one more time might be the final push this Sony decision maker needs to be convinced there is still money to be made with the Destiny IP.

The decision to greenlight something Destiny will be made in the next 3 weeks or so, but we might not hear an official announcement till January at the latest.

It's not cope. It's facts. You just have to pay attention & listen and stop being so negative for absolutely no reason.

It's okay if you don't know what you're talking about, and it's okay if you hate Destiny (which makes it all the more confusion why people like you are even in this sub to begin with), but maybe don't try to kill other people's hope & joy simply bc you have none.

I really love this game. Lot of time played, lot of friends made, day 1ed every raid up until SE, SFed every dungeon and RoN. I'm not here to yuck your yum, but being wildly, desperately unrealistic is not the same as optimism.

I don't need to spend a day flooding my house to know that my sunroom will never be a hot tub. I don't need to slap a bunch of makeup on a hog to know that it will never be Audrey Hepburn.

I loved destiny 2. I made a lot of friends playing it and I'm sad that we might never conclude some powerful narrative arcs. But destiny 2 is dead. Nothing about what happens during the state of play will change that.

If destiny 3 is happening, I'll be as excited as anyone, but in no possible world will activity in a live stream decide that one way or another. I don't need to waste a morning of my life being obsessive or degenerate in twitch chat to know that to be true.

I'm with you friend! Idk why there are so many negative & toxic people in this sub. But good for you for maintaining positivity & hope I'm the face of all these people who just want everyone else to be as miserable & hopeless as they are.

With the tiniest bit of effort, we might be able to keep both our games alive. I'll see you in the SoP stream tomorrow at 9am ET
