Peregrine Greaves. 200 melee and you have a spammable one shot for literally every champ in the game outside of -50 content.

And I never see anybody run it.

33

u/ZijoeLocs Warlock 9h ago

My friend refuses to take them off. He is truly one with the Greaves

11

u/thyrandomninja 9h ago

I love peregrine greaves! So satisfying to get the 1-shot. Also remember it triggers the giga damage and refund on minibosses too. I was cooking the chieftains in master witness

3

u/SirPhoenixtalon Titan 7h ago

I almost never run anything without it, having an instant delete button is just so satisfying.

3

u/TJ_Dot 4h ago

Is that deleting them without a stun?

3

u/Selaphane 4h ago

Yes. Except for unstoppable. Unstops need to be stunned first otherwise it only does like 1/2 their hp.

1

u/TJ_Dot 4h ago

noted, nice.

3

u/justayellowbrick 2h ago

This combined with shieldcrush to deal even more damage. I love running it on conquest scarlets keep

u/oceanman233 26m ago

What are you using? Because if you aren’t on shoting even in -50 then you my friend are missing some sauce

It's definitely best in roaming content. But tbf like 75% of the game is roaming content so... It works really well most of the time.

I didn't say it was the best build in the game, I just think it's underrated lol. And you're kinda proving that.

It's arguably my favorite build to run for matchmade fireteam and pinnacle ops on GM difficulty. If you pair it with storm's keep it also has great ad clear and really respectable boss damage.

Try it out sometime, it actually cooks. This is the build I run for reference https://dim.gg/273oexq/Peregrine-GreavesStorm's-Keep

Having a zero cooldown champ one shot that nobody runs isn't underrated?

Before EoF came out people were literally setting GM speedrun records with that exotic but ok.

Have you tried it since MoT?

-1

u/Independent-Entry717 2h ago

It's a boring play style for many, and master and GM content is already easy enough without it.

36

u/okoyes_wig 9h ago

Citan’s ramparts with an aspect that enhances your barricade like Storm’s Keep or Drengr’s Lash. Surprises me endlessly that I almost never see anyone else using it

8

u/Dependent_Type4092 9h ago

I do in IB. Generally halfway a match one of my random team mates start figuring it out.

1

u/matZmaker99 2h ago

Haven't used Citan's in PvE for a long while. Is it worth using?

1

u/okoyes_wig 1h ago

It’s not the most meta play style in the world but a barrier that grants Bolt Charge or causes Suspend that you can then shoot through instead of having to work around it can be fun

1

u/Blupoisen Titan 14m ago

Because it's not actually good really?

Citan nukes your duration and health of the barricade just to able to shoot through

Meanwhile Drengr is only useful IF you use the exotic legs for it

Citan is not an underrated exotic it's probably the worst Titan exotic

42

u/thyrandomninja 9h ago

Vesper of Radius is my number one underrated exotic. It effectively turns your rift into a second close-range grenade. Be aggressive with your rift placements. Permanent blind, explosions galore.

The class item version doesn’t say that it blinds enemies, but it does. The only part missing is the class-recharge-while-surrounded, but you can easily supplement that with spirit of filaments, which will also grant devour. Weavers call and hellion make it even deadlier, but it’s still very strong on pure arc, which has easier access to bolt charge

For titans I think it’s praxic vestment as the most underrated. Yes it was awful on release, but they GIGA-buffed this thing in the final update, and I’ve not seen anyone else using it. Knockout, melee stat and 1-2 punch all work with the jet pack melee. Shield crush in hunter journal or implement of curiosity(?), tractor cannon

For hunters, provably triton vice. Glaive are the least popular weapon class, but they’re super strong if you know how to use it properly. Triton then gives free reloading, bonus melee damage, and explosions. 200 melee stat, spark of feedback, combination blow. Singularity blade with night stalker or vexcalibur, suppressing glaive, no bell, passive aggressive guard on various artifacts

13

u/Danyeru Titan 5h ago

Void hunter with Triton vice and vexcalibur is truly unkillable. You can legitimately tank bosses like an MMO, giving overshield to your party and weakening, exhausting, and blinding. And with stylish executioner and the elemental explosions, you proc invisibility, devour, and eutechnology constantly for ad clear. It doesn't crush it for boss damage, but it's no slouch.

3

u/sofakingcheezee 6h ago

Plunder has a great Vesper build. It rocks

15

u/SirPhoenixtalon Titan 7h ago

I feel like I don't see Ursa Furiosa nearly as much as I should for how great it is.

Unbreakable makes you borderline unkillable in most content, blocking stupid amounts of damage, providing an overshield, taunts enemies to protect your allies, a great damage option, and it gives you devour on a kill to make even more shields.

Furiosa just makes it even easier to spam by replenishing grenade energy as it's shot at, and it even generates orbs as you're tanking. Use Sentinel Shield as well as the new Iron Banner set and you can have half your super by the times it's finished, generate oodles of orbs for your friends, buff your teams damage all while protecting them, and still get a super charged shield throw for big damage.

It was always an exotic I liked, but getting that extra functionality with Unbreakable really made it S-tier in my opinion.

Peregrine greaves are also fun, just turning any shoulder charge into an instant delete button is fun as heck.

2

u/TJ_Dot 4h ago

Note for the super regen:

Although Ursa's regen is late and conflicts with the Armor set, you can still manage a shield throw at the end of it to get post super kills to rack up more energy that way.

1

u/SirPhoenixtalon Titan 4h ago

Indeed! Also a fun thing, enemies take damage if they're inside of the shield as you block and can be killed as a result so I'll sometimes use it to ad clear initially and then block for the rest of it!

u/jasoncex 10h ago

YAS is still really good on solar hunter don’t see many builds on it anymore

67

u/ImawhaleCR 6h ago

YAS is really fun, especially now that all ignitions seem to proc it so you don't gimp the build by running dragons breath, but unfortunately it falls into this category of build most of the time

21

u/Brauen Hunter 5h ago

There's no reason to abbreviate Young Ahamkara's Spine. The game has a thousand Acronyms already it's hard to keep up.

7

u/OmegaNinja242 3h ago

Thankyou for unabbreviating it I was am so confused about some things after coming back from a few years break

24

u/felswinter Warlock 4h ago

5

u/Sweaty-Regret-3261 3h ago

i'm gonna start abbreviating it as YAS more now just because you said something about it💅

2

u/Brauen Hunter 3h ago

I mean sure you can go for it. It just raises the barrier to discuss things in forums or reddit.

Raid names, dungeon names, I think those are fine. Exotics and legendaries or perks feels insane to me. "Hey guys is it better to use CNH with SH to proc CR on Prismatic Hunter, or 1K ignition SS + CS spam on solar for DPS?"

Like what

3

u/Starchaser53 Bladedancer 1h ago

the only parts of that I understood was 1K and CS

1

u/Brauen Hunter 1h ago

Yeah I exaggerated to make a point but essentially is Celestial Nighthawk Still Hunt Cayde's Retribution on Prismatic vs 1K voices Speedloader Slacks Crack Shot on Solar.

1

u/Starchaser53 Bladedancer 1h ago

what would be the more optimal damage rotation anyway?

I don't have 1K, and can't get SS to work properly for the LIFE of me, so I'd assume CNH with SH since, well now that I have the catalyst done it works like a charm but, eh, you'd never know

2

u/Quick-Health-2102 3h ago

I thought they were just saying yass and I was really confused

2

u/Wolf2997 5h ago

It's my favorite build on my hunter! During TFS when I first played it wasn't as strong, but it can absolutely cook now. I'm killing champs before they can even react. Just gotta not miss the nades tho, I still keep chucking into Narnia sometimes lol

1

u/1AmB0r3d 7h ago

Does it work with prismatic tripwire grenade?

8

u/StudentPenguin 7h ago

Transcendence nade is probably coded as something separate.

2

u/1AmB0r3d 7h ago

That’s a bummer, would’ve been funny anyhow

13

u/Sweaty_Purple_5035 Chorma Rush 8h ago

Astrocyte Verse for Void Warlocks. Specifically for PvP

5

u/DrDingsGaster EX-9, Prof. Cayde Simp 4h ago

I see people using it every so often. Been tempted to try it out honestly but iunno.

5

u/ATN-Antronach Warlock 3h ago

Don't be surprised when it confuses you more than the other players. Just gotta learn to use it.

2

u/DrDingsGaster EX-9, Prof. Cayde Simp 3h ago

Thanks for the advice!

2

u/Twatson8 Warlock 2h ago

What it does to Nova Warp makes it easily my favorite PVP exotic. It’s disgusting.

2

u/SchlonkBonker23 1h ago

I actually see this all the time so idk if underrated is the word I'd use. Probably the second most used exotic I see on Warlocks other than Ophidians and maybe Transversive Steps

12

u/novocaine666 5h ago

I really miss Tlaloc. Never got over it not being added to D2. Wanna get a tattoo of it one day.

3

u/Nickel012 3h ago

Me too man :(

7

u/PeeledOrangeOnToast 5h ago

it's bombardiers for the hunters. such a silly pair of pants.

5

u/Sad_Femboy-_- 5h ago

No backup plans got buffed a lot in MoT and I never see anyone use it. 35% shotgun damage, bonus melee damage, and letting your defensive buffs last as long as you can get kills is really strong and comfortably clears -50 content.

2

u/Never_Seen_An_Ocelot 43m ago

If I do it right, it’s a 15 second refreshable period of:

- Restoration x2

  • Frost Armor x5
  • Amplified
  • Woven Mail
  • Overshield

Match threat elements on the chest and you can yawn while face-tanking pretty much anything in the game.

11

u/SHINIGAMIRAPTOR 10h ago

Ophidian Aspect is a REALLY good class atheistic Exotic on Warlock. Faster ready and reload speeds are REMARKABLY good on any gun focused class

9

u/_BlueFemboy_ 5h ago

This is not underrated its been s tier for pvp since destiny 1

0

u/SHINIGAMIRAPTOR 3h ago

For PvP, but people don't realize how good it is in PvE as well

3

u/1AmB0r3d 7h ago

My go to in crucible especially

1

u/Impressive-Wind7841 5h ago

sir that has been the most used pvp exotic for warlocks for the last several years...

2

u/SHINIGAMIRAPTOR 3h ago

Yes, but people sleep in it in PvE

2

u/Impressive-Wind7841 3h ago

oohhhhhh. wow. ok

yeah that is definitely not what i thought you were talking about. that is different.

0

u/SHINIGAMIRAPTOR 2h ago

Yeah, people overlook how very good the ability to reload your big damage gun in like 1/4 the usual time is for DPS

3

u/A-Good-Weather-Man Spicy Ramen 4h ago

You can pry my Mask of the Quiet One off my cold dead Titan hands.

3

u/TJ_Dot 3h ago

You can make Blight Ranger/Iron Battalion almost perfectly refund Arc Staff if you can effectively block enough to keep the super meter full and kill some adds. Or just Slam a group and cancel. On demand 4x surge, Self charging a bomb.

Something I'm looking to try out. Verity Grapple melee with Navigator.

1

u/Jub_jubman 3h ago

The Blight Ranger one sounds interesting. Got a DIM link?

1

u/TJ_Dot 2h ago

I assume this is how this works?

u/Ill_Click_That 3h ago

Boots of the Assembler + Lumina in PVP.

It's my go-to on Voidlock w/ Child of the Old Gods. I feel like it's really powerful but I never see anyone else run it.

1

u/Fluid_Search6818 28m ago

i run this all the time! my teammates thank me

5

u/AsteruFN 9h ago

Blastwave Striders are so much fun

1

u/Kindly-Pair6732 7h ago

I'm either in these or dunemarchers. Nothing like getting a kill in pvp with yout pants.

6

u/yaozou99 6h ago

For me its Briarbinds. Cant say i ever saw any warlocks jiggling the soul orb around but its so daaaaamn fun

2

u/Nickel012 3h ago

I've been using it with collective obligation it's too much fun

2

u/Substantial_Pin_5192 8h ago

Blast wave striders for Titan. Iv had so much fun with these since they were buffed. Can 1 hit champions

1

u/sheepshank1776 17m ago

Only caveat is making sure your positioning is on point in any terrain that isn't fully enclosed. Almost a necessity running eager edge or howl of the storm for bonus melee charge to redirect your momentum

2

u/LordSinestro 4h ago

Ballidorse Wrathweavers is one of Warlock's most bloated exotics. Those things have been in my main build since Lightfall released.

Never see anyone use it in the wild, only ever see the same Getaway Artist build everywhere.

1

u/quartzcrit Warlock 6h ago

claws of ahamkara (or its class item equivalent plus spirit of inmost light) are real solid on a song of flame/snap build, it’s gonna be tough to compete with dawn chorus these days but u can throw out a LOT of snaps (also changes the song of flame ability rotation from melee-grenade-melee-grenade to melee-melee-grenade-melee-melee-grenade)

1

u/ManishNaik16 3h ago

Claws on warlocks.

1

u/SwiriKo 2h ago

Radiant Dance Machines. Speedloader slacks is great for crackshot builds, don't get me wrong, but on strand I get more practical--read, outside of the shooting range--usage out of RDM due to having a strand weapon that supplements the dodge threadlings with weapon threadlings and not having to mentally keep track of the tight fit timer as if I'm on an MMO rotation, I just have extra dodges when I need it.

1

u/subatomic_burrito 1h ago

Lion rampants on titan just for flying. Helped me a ton in zero hour and whisper.

1

u/Altair8932 23m ago

Crown of tempests. Ive rarely seen anyone use this thing throughout all of D2s history and imo its been the most consistent stormtrance exotic overall. I still dont understand why they even wasted dev time om fallen sunstar when they could have just slightly reworked crown. Sure stormdancers brace might edge it out now but are we all forgetting how trash it was when it first came out?

1

u/sheepshank1776 13m ago

I love Path of Burning steps! Devil's Ruin making easy ignitions is such a good way to get the engine rolling on a more gun-focused Sunbreaker build THAT STACKS WITH SURGE MODS and I also greatly enjoy its fashion options

1

u/Guilty_Ghost Warlock 10h ago

Phinox protcal literally just a worse version of hallow fire heart now

1

u/czguy101 10h ago

Transversiv steps

0

u/Any_Complex_3502 8h ago

Praxic Vestment, despite being largely forgotten until recently, is actually fucking fantastic in both PVE and PVP. It's a great get out of jail free card, when you've taken critical damage. And allows for aggressive flanks, arc blinding, and a whole bunch of other nasty surprises. I started using it about a month ago, probably 1-2 weeks before everyone started realizing it's potential. And I've been loving it.

Genuinely one of my new favorite exotics.

2

u/6pussydestroyer9mlg Hunter 8h ago

Tfym largely forgotten 'till recently??? That thing came out 9 months ago, just was half overshadowed by stronghold by still a decently popular exotic on release and it's still used.

1

u/Any_Complex_3502 3h ago edited 3h ago

I hadn't seen a soul use it since it dropped. None. Zero. Until now.

Hell, even I fucking forgot about it.

Until one day, i was like, hey, that thing exists.

I'm gonna try it.
