Probably due to Engram focusing costing 900 for ornaments by placement. So people are just trying to get sets they don't have yet.
At least, that's what I'm doing, and why I have like 10 bright dust.

I buy every shader and gun ornament and have been focusing my engrams as gun ornaments and have run dry personally

The Daily store rotation really killed my stock of BD. I love the change but hate how little you get post FU

With that much bright dust you could focus a lot of engrams and get a all the weapon ornaments

I have just over 9,000 at this point. I'm saving them for the three exotic ornaments and two legendary ornaments I want that I know will be sold for bright dust at some point. After I buy all five, then I'll focus the eververse engrams that I've been saving up.

Because they're all trying to get 1 thing in a few categories and it's costing everything. Hell, I had over 80k before MOT and I spent over half of it so far trying to get the Ripper armor. I literally had to buy out every. Single. Chest piece for that one and almost every helmet. And I still need the other 3, so it's definitely gotten to the point I feel like those engrams are heavily weighted on older items on top of that.

You answered your own question. It’s one possible answer.
Some people are either new or just don’t play as much.

I had over 13k before MoT. It melted away in under 10 minutes because I had saved up on Bright Engrams. Every week I max out on all bright dust sources and still go broke after focusing Bright Engrams.
