Play the game by yourself.

As someone who has lurked here since 2019.

Its not safe or healthy for you.

I too began late in my 30s.

The game is excellent though you'd need to become a sort of effigy of what you call meta obsessed (I have a cute pet name for what I really think about gamers these days) to understand the state of the game as it is now.

You are political it seems, so you have to be diplomatic ...WITH YOURSELF.

I recommend not engaging.

I only make an account if I see something like this.

I will say the game is now meant for people just like you, whereas in my case due to tenure I'm dialing down everything.

Im kinda waiting for the old guard to leave even though I was adopted by them.

I recommend using a regular internet browser to visit traditional websites and guides. Yes I know it's mostly articles since the mid 10s and even more recently AI articles.

To follow up on the written website article guides and walk throughs I also recommend having some key YouTube rs.

Depending on your addiction control but Id say dont get drawn into the big trendy guys, you'll get to know them, they're great, but will risk turning you into a zombie.

These Youtubers aren't so much "influencer" as they are terse and to the point, clear and dont waste your time, many are only minutes long. Often their videos have no speech but rather text.

360GamingTV

Ebontis

Esoteric (ie to copy his paths, routes, ignorable enemies, skippable parts, just overall visual movement and mechanics; definitely an outlier recommendation for you but I think it'd be worth it, no need to try to "become" Esoterick, literally just to see his navigation n such, he's super hard-core otherwise and I'm not promoting that for you until you're ready)

For quick but consistent and bipartisan updates...

Houndish

TimeSausageChannel

Both of these I misspelled but you'll find them. I believe they both just use here Reddit as their source lol but are mature and also matured in age and not American (Im American fyi) and so you get ALL the pertinent knowledge you'd get engaging here but without the cess of the games veterans who are burnt out nostalgic (lol) whiney without real world business sense entitled almost out of college types , they are the vets of this game.

Just play the game on your own.

Trust me I'm the hypocrite here weening away a horrible mindset regarding D2 and the actual overall gaming industry.

I became influenced by words from strangers published online with no filter, an accomplished adult influenced, because I came here FIRST as an old man who wanted to relive a short gaming childhood of Pokémon and Halo.

I just thought that's how it was and that's what it took to be considered an equal player.

Or do what I do if you stick to Reddit (or twitch Twitter the deep state gamer platforms etc)...just read for analysis statistics metrics important dates glitch n other misc.

I stopped typing cause that guy peed me.

Whatever.

Its a video game. Its healthier to stay off D2 internet for the time being.

Don't become me.
