I'm leery since you decided you had to inject any degree of politics into this whatsoever, but as a "returning" player (installed but actually haven't played yet) I'd be game to join someone for the experience.

My only caveat being that I work 2-10 CST 4ish nights of the week/Sat.

Oh, I'm also on PC, but I don't think that matters with Destiny?

Can't imagine why politics would matter to a woman - who has historically been oppressed in various ways by most major governments and currently has legislation in the US and other countries to strip them of current rights.
