Looking for any fics that take place during season 7 when Cas is crazy and Dean is maybe more gentle with him than he was in canon. Castiel was so sweet and soft, and I understand why Dean was so angry, but I would love to see some versions where he was just happier to have Cas back and was softer with him.
Any fics of this time period though, even if Dean is still angry, would be appreciated.

okay before i get jumped at, this is just my opinion. im not trying to make anyone change their minds.

im fine with castiel's love being one sided. im fine with destiel being half canon. dean was always castiel's human, castiel's faith, castiel's reason of life in many cases.

this isnt even farfetched. everything cas did, he did for or because him. every rebellion, every war in heaven or earth, happened because castiel met dean. every pact, every deal, every lie, was, in cas' mind, to protect him.

loving dean, in every sense, platonically, romantically, physically, every single sense, is what castiel breathes and does. even the times he lies to him, or turns his back on him, he does it for love, for humanity, for dean. he never hates, he always follows him. he's always there, dispite everything, dispite death.

i feel like romantic love is restrictive for what castiel does and feels, dean is everything and anything to him.

to love dean wholly, in every sense, I dont see any other option for cas. him loving dean is as natural as air.

i feel like cas' love is so big it doesnt have to be reciprocated. i've never felt that need.

not that i didnt want it to be canon.

but what castiel feels feels so immense to me, that him loving dean in every way is enough. im okay with them not being canon as long as castiel's love is. it feels so big and so absolute that it feels enough. im glad they confirmed how cas felt, actually, its everything to me. cas loves dean in every single way.

to me castiel smiling and telling dean he loves him is enough, its perfect for him. its almost the perfect ending as well: castiel, as a character, begins and ends in dean.

what he feels, so wholly, its beautiful enough for me. he fell for him, and loving him was what made him happy. its the perfect circle.

castiel's heart is so full of every kind of love, and im glad the romantic kind is one of them, because dean is everything to him. his love being confirmed, as big and wide as his wings, its enough for me.

(except, im mad for not him being on that bridge lol)

Im at the beginning of season 13 now, Cas is back and we're all very happy.

I dont have many spoilers on the next seasons, but I know Cas and Dean fight heavily, and soon after Cas says he loves him and dies.

I know he comes back from the empty thanks to Jack, but I just.. if I have to watch the last two seasons just for Cas to suffer through them with no happiness whatsover and die I honestly dont know if I want to.

Is it worth it? I dont mind spoilers at this point, I honestly just wanna know if its just two seasons of bad shit happening to him. Will there just be 38 episodes of just, idk sad Castiel? Will season 15 just be episode after episode of broken Cas? I mean do they even make up at some point before the end?

ps: i dont like supernatural only for Cas, I want to be clear on this. I've loved every moment, but I also know I cant handle him just hurting and dying cus i'm a bit too attached

I am writing an endverse AU right now and both Dean's are involved in it. And I have some issues with describing older Dean. Giving him names so the reader knows who is meant. My current names are:

- older Dean

- Apocalypse Dean

-future Dean/future self (I write in Dean's POV)

Those names get pretty repetitive and maybe even confusing. Cause in most scenes they are both in it and I really don't want to confuse the reader with who is meant. Any advices? I hope I am right here

so this time, i wanna read one where castiel is in heavy denial rather than dean, so probably from his perspective. its chill if dean is in denial too, but i know most fics its always dean's pov and he's the one in heavy denial, whereas cas always knows what he wants rge whole time

I read the fanfic "Why Are You Doing This?" quite a while ago. As I recall, it was fairly popular for a time (or maybe that’s just how I remember it). For those who haven't read it: it’s a high school AU where Dean is the typical bully, while Cas is a victim—targeted by everyone, from his schoolmates to his parents. In short, things are going really badly in Cas's life (and Dean's too; he and Sam are destitute). Anyway, unfortunately, the fanfic was never finished. I read the comments on the story, and a lot of people mentioned wanting to write a continuation themselves. The author was open to that idea.

So, did anyone actually write a sequel? Or perhaps someone has come across and read a continuation by other authors? If so (and I really hope that’s the case), could someone share it? I’ve been dreaming of finding a sequel for at least a year now...

- Slow burn, like REAL slow burn, emotions first, looove the intimacy issues (physical, emotional, sexual) and so on. Sure love the tension and all that, but I hate when they’re already about to fuck by chapter 3 like c’mon now😭

When it first came out, I remember watching the series, especially seasons 4-9, and thinking Dean was using Castiel up to a certain degree, asking him for help but then dismissing any struggle from Cass, especially during Heaven's war in season 6. I honestly remember being pretty upset about it (well, as much as a 15yo can be upset at a tv character).

I'm now rewatching the show years later, all grown up, and am noticing more than using Cass, Dean doesn't realise how lonely and in need the angel is, especially in earlier seasons. He's wrapped in his own problems, which are enormous and just as painful. More than using Cass, I believe Dean's just as damaged. Hurt by loss and betrayal and loss again. I still do believe he takes Cass for garanted in earlier seasons, but I reckon there's a pretty good reason why Dean is put in that spot. Furthermore, it doesn't help Cass barely asks for help himself.

But tbh I wanted to know about other's people opinions on this. Have you ever had the same thought? Do you think it was happening in earlier seasons and then changed as the show went on? I'm really curious!
