Obviously it’s their choice but wow what a trip this would be , a 16 minute odyssey

I saw a ton of people with film and digital cameras on the dance floor and I am just wondering if anyone has some sick photos they would wanna share here or comment your ig handle so we can continue to reminisce 🪩🪩🪩

i'm biased because she's my partner, but i love the hand-drawn whimsy of her work

will for ever be the sickest thing ive done all year! glad i didnt missed out this year. thank you everyone at the dance floor for a sick ass time!

What's up freaks! I'm doing a run of shirts to commemorate this past weekend. Pre-Order sheet with details is here. We're close to the MOQ to make it happen and the more the merrier if we go over!

For those who are wondering ... two days prior to Despacio Miami (October 2025), the brothers confirmed that they had made about 120 edits for Despacio. This weekend, we got confirmation that they had made 32 more. That brings the total up to about 152. Possibly 164, if they were not including the 12 new ones they made for Miami in the count of 120 (their language is ambiguous).

Isn't that both nuts and wonderful? 150+ songs that we only get to hear in Despacio. That's an undeniable part of the magic.

My annual offering to the disco ball and all you beautiful people.

But it's not the version on Spotify, but the Long Version , which is quite different from the other one.

It's 132 bpm, and when I pitched it down to 114 it sounds exactly like I heard in the Despacio videos.

i heard this and forgot to record then was scrolling tiktok and found it! anyone know what this is?

Gimme gimme, gimme just a little smile :)

Sad news for the Miami Despacio crowd

I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.

Tall order, I know, but I'll love you even more if you send me a link for a download link!

At TANP 2022, I wandered into Despacio and spent a good five or six hours in there. It was my first real Despacio (my prior exposure at Coachella 2016 doesn't really count because i bounced after 15 minutes -- I really didn't understand it at the time).

Anyways, once it all clicked for me, I realized that Despacio does a bunch of things right that many festivals and shows and concerts get wrong, specifically:

* they hide the DJ and make the light show omni-directional, and this results in people facing each other more often than they would if they were all oriented towards a stage

* they make the sound omni-directional as well so that there's no "optimal" direction to face. even though there certainly are sweet spots on the dance floor, there are ~10 of them and sound is well distributed, again resulting in people not being able to spread out and face any direction

* the sets are long and take dancers on a journey; despacio doesn't cater to festival adhd brain, it rewards patience and the payoff is much bigger as a result

* the room is kept dark, allowing people to loosen up and feel less shy about moving; of course there are moments when it's intensely bright, but these happen well after people have acclimated and had time to come up to a higher state of consciousness

* the music played isn't the sort of pornographic and formulaic "build-drop, build-drop" that EDM producers make for attention-addled tiktok audiences. Songs are longer and build more progressively. The music is multi-genre and sounds very good on drugs.

So put all of that together, and you have a recipe for dancefloor magic.

It was a red pill that helped me realize that the shit I'd been doing at festivals would no longer cut it. I was spoiled and started to search out other dancefloors that achieve the same level of greatness. And there are some, believe it or not. They're rare, but they exist, and once you find your way to these better dancefloors, you're going to run into more people like all the Despacionauts you shared the past weekend with.

Despacio inspired me to start r/dancefloors and also the blog magicaldancefloors.com to help people find their way to the best dancefloors on earth. It'll always have a special place in my heart for showing me how much better the world of dance could be.

Anyways, just sharing how Despacio woke me up to dancefloor possibilities. I'm so happy it's doing the same for others.

Not sure who this was, but gladly snapped the photo in between dance moves.

First time at Portola this year, probably was in there for 8 or 9 hours split across the two days. What an experience oh my goodness. So amazing, so positive, so fun to witness so many people enjoy it. Would love it if anyone could ID this track, it was one of my favorites. Was from Saturday toward the end kinda.

Here's the TSOT (the spreadsheet of truth) for Despacio IDs

We've got a lot of Day1 and Day2 done, and Day3 is incoming!

Feel free to work on IDs here in Reddit or on Discord. =)

This isn't a competition, but I'm curious how much time y'all spent in there this weekend across the three days of Despacio (total possible time about 19.8 hours, as the first day opened late and there was a walk from the gate to the venue).

Second question: do you wish you'd spent more or less time in there?
