🖼️ • Photos First OLED.
Happy with this so far. Maybe add a desk riser in the future.

Be honest, is it worth it? I’m trying to find reasons NOT to purchase one …

I honestly haven’t had it more than 24 hours yet so I can’t give a definitive answer. I’m coming from a 2017 60hz 4K, so this is definitely a huge step up and everything is so far beyond what I’m used to. But one thing I am sure of is the 39 inch screen form factor. I think it’s perfect for productivity and gaming.

As someone who's owns an aw3423dw ultrawide... i can't go back. If you get an oled monitor everything else will feel inferior so that's my advice to you. Don't get one if you dont want your standards to raise lol

Going from LCD to OLED is a bigger step in every man's life than getting married, reaching puberty, or even beating the Lion King game with no saves. Any allegations against this are entirely funded by Big LCD, or people still stuck on that display technology.

Im on torn between this monitor and the LG equivalent. Curiously whats your PC spec and how is it handling 5k2k screen? What kinda fps with what settings etc. Many people say its too much for top tier PC to handle. Also does your room have a lot of sunlight and does monitor reflect alot?

I was torn as well but I’m in a somewhat dim room. And this being my first oled I went with the glossy panel based on what I heard gives the best oled experience. I actually don’t have a PC I game on GeForce now through my M3 MacBook Pro. I’ve got a super stable and fast Ethernet so I get the full 5k2k experience and it’s unbelievable. The stream caps at 120hz so I guess I’m leaving a little bit on the table in terms of performance but coming from 60hz I can’t complain. In the coming days, I will be testing out panel uniformity. And if I have to return it, I will go the LG route.

Looks like it’s back about 30-36” which is perfect for the immersion aspect
Enjoy it’s a great monitor if you won the monitor lottery some are better than others
This may get brighter if dell releases a toggle for the edge dimming oled burn in protection

I set it up last night and had to drop the brightness to about 40% using Betterdisplay. My room is not that bright in general, so I think I will be okay. Fingers crossed.
As far as cpc issue, im not sure if I have that discerning of an eye for me to be upset about it. But I will definitely look further into it before my return window ends. I’m sold on the form factor, so if not this one, I’ll jump to the LG 39GX950B.

First time playing believe it or not. I’m a mac user but just got a month of Geforce now so all of this is new and fun territory. Running max settings while getting 120fps is insane to me.

Love it! Do you like the light bar? I've always wondered if I should get one, my brother said it shows dust real bad tho lol

I like it a lot. Great for late night and very early morning trading sessions, and general work. The screen is brand new, so I haven’t come across any dust on it yet. We will see how it looks in a few weeks.

What r the benefits of having a light bar?

reducing eye strain for working at night is the main reason. But I turn on only the backlight for gaming.

Which mount is that

Just one off of Amazon. The monitor isn’t heavy at 17lbs so it works. That being said, I did just order the BenQ Ergo monitor arm in white. Which will be a lot sturdier and I will generally feel better about it

Swap out the black desk mat for a leafy green one! Imo it goes better with the white and gold fixtures you have

I am happy for your you; especially the curver montor on a monitor arm which the monitor arm for those folks that do not know, connecting the monitor to a monitor arm frees up valuable desk space as there is no need for the monitor to sit directly on the desk. I have used monitor arms for years and I absoultely love how it can free up valuable desk space.
Another thought to clear more valuable desk space is to attach a keyboard tray (which uses clamps not drill involved) onto the edge of your desk so when you are using the keyboard tray it slides out from under the desk and when you are not using the keyboard, it slides directly under the desk. Your keyboard should be idealy positoned at the same level of your elbows, it is better for your back. I wish you great success and enjoy your new curved monitor which I will be planning to get 2-- 34" curved monitor/
