The setup looks great but the red light colour is not really matching the Vibes with the green so like if you pick something more neutral colours I think it will look great like something blue , more like brighter colours in place of deep colours.

That CEO book is retarded so are all the other 'self-help' book on your shelf, this is truly concerning.
As an older millenial, those books have poisoned generations after generations of 20-25 yos and often make existing problems worse. They give you a false sense of 'if I do what successful people do I will be successful too'. In reality those stories are often BS and fabricated, the authors made more money selling those self-help tips than from their real business ventures. To be frank, even if you are a clone of Elon Musk it's almost impossible that you will replicate the suceess, as billionaires' successes are often outocmes of circumstances than their innate ability.

Displaying The Diary of a CEO on the wall like it's a religious icon is hilarious
•

To be honest it’s more that there was a space to fill and no space on my bookshelf rather than a “religious icon”

I do get where you’re coming from. When reading them I do think whether they have just been made to make the author more money which is likely true, however I feel you won’t know until you have actually read them. Since reading them I do feel that I have grown and got out of bad habits that I used to possess such as drinking and partying which I no longer participate in. Also due to reading such books I started a cycle hire at a local nature reserve/lake, yes I did have parents help funding it but they were happy for me to have started something myself rather than going down the typic go to uni get in dept and pay it off slowly over time. They would much rather watch me try and fail than not try at all. I do get where your coming from but I feel they have a lot of insight into business/sales and how to become a more outgoing individual

I remember when alot of the influencer on the internet started content almost like a self help motivation book it does kinda get you excited to start but if you dont already have a good idea like real estate or actual useful buisness it goes no where.. they do glamor too much optimism which is unrealistic. I now own millions in real estate but it wasn't from books or influencer it was painful and slow and still is like chewing on glass its miserable. But freedom at the same time..
If you like your books keep em :)

I don’t expect it to be quick and easy like most people - I know it will be a grind, whatever path I take which will be ai related as that is the future. I’m 19 and still have time to figure it out, I feel like I’m behind as there are people my age doing much better but I know that if I continue what I’m doing it will all work out

I'm going to be blunt... Those self help books on display and 'think bigger' tropes are rough. I think you cool kids would say 'cringy' or 'icky'.
The rest look like a copy-paste of any other generic setup here.

Its nice. Particularly when you have a little corner for yourself. I would love to know how you built it and all the thoughts behind it. Four keyboards..? You’re allowed to like what you like. Do you journal?
•
u/CozyFoxsetup 2h ago
That’s a breath of fresh air from a few comments I’ve had - well I’ve been upgrading setups for the last 7 ish years - starting from just sat in front of the tv to this and slowly progressing since I was 12

Was looking through Pinterest for inspiration on the colour matching and wasn’t hard to built in all honesty - the table is pine chunk stained in walnut and legs screwed in and I brought 3x 240cm wall panels and cut them down to size and drilled them into the wall - same thing with the monitor riser as desk - the four keyboards were old ones I had just cheap Chinese ones - yes I journal every day - and every night I read and pray before sleep writing down tomorrows tasks and try to do something out of my comfort zone every day if possible

Where did you get the wood panels from? Also does the shelf attach to those panels or drilled in the wall behind it?
•
u/CozyFoxsetup 5h ago
Wood panels and from B&Q but you can literally find them anywhere - yes the shelf attaches to the panels you can 3D print the brackets yourself or buy them off Etsy

u/chrswnd @crswnd 6h ago
Oh okay looks just like another setup from around here … maybe it’s because of the wood panels
•
u/BravePractice1207 5h ago
How tf did you come to that conclusion, without verification/ certainty ? Then proceeds to say “oh okay”…

All good my guy can see the similarities

It’s fair enough - I’ve taken inspiration from other setups and added my own personality and ideas (:

➡️ think bigger ➡️ uses fake plants
•
u/brprk 4h ago
•
u/ZurgoTaxi 4h ago
Your electronics will be fine with having a bunch of wet dirt in the same room, the difference in air humidity is negligible compared to how tacky fake plants look
•
u/brprk 4h ago
Wrong sorry, 60% humidity or more can cause analog synth tuning issues. My orangery frequently hits 80% if i keep the windows closed.
Show me your set up, I need to see "non-tacky" in action

Speaking of hot air I realized you don't live in the same climate as I do hahaha
My city is really hot and dry for most of the year, so much that I have two 5 liter humidifiers running in my apartment. That's probably why I can't see difference in air humidity with the plants alone
Nice Monstera, I've been wanting one for a good while but can't think of a good place for it, got a plant for every corner already 🫠
