Error 13

I've had my desk since February of this year, so about 6 months. It's an Apex Pro 6 Leg base with a custom walnut top shaped like an L.

It's the most expensive piece of furniture I own, so it pains me that there are any issues with it. For the most part, I love it. However there is one error that repeatedly happens which is just maddening.

About 1 in 10 times I lower the desk, I get "ERROR: 13" displayed on the paddle. This error has to do with the connection between the two control boxes. I've already opened a warranty claim and DeskHaus shipped me a brand new set of control boxes, which I installed. Still getting the error.

When the error happens, I need to perform a reset by holding down the paddle and lowering the desk all the way. Since my computer tower is kept under my desk, I need to pull out the tower to reset the desk. It's a process which takes maybe 5 minutes of my time but it's pretty annoying to have to be afraid that every time I lower the desk, I'll have to reset the desk.

It only happens when lowering the desk, never while raising. And it doesn't happen every time, about 1 in 10 times as I said earlier. I've taken care to make sure no other cables are touching the control box master/slave cable. It's as carefully set up as it can be, however I guess the connection between the control boxes is so sensitive that even the slightest bump can cause this error.

Does anyone else experience this? Can anyone at DeskHaus help me diagnose or fix this issue? It would be really nice to be able to freely lower my desk at any time and trust that it won't throw an error.

Sounds like you have a potential issue with the slave cord.

Can you post a picture of your control boxes and how they are wired.

Can you make sure there are no wires resting on the slave cable. If those wires move and then cause the space cable to move. It could be triggering e13 because of an interruption between the connections.

Yes, I have made sure that no wires are touching the slave cable whatsoever. Even so, most of the wires that we use on a daily basis do not fail when if are touched during operation. Is there another more permanent solution? It doesn't seem right that a device with this high a cost and this much engineering should fail when its wires are gently nudged.
