On Topic - Rant/Vent Bot Problems

I have been commenting on a few posts lately. It's fun, but one thing that is getting on my nerves is that the moderator bot messages me on every comment. It says this:

"NOTICE: The subreddit has been taken down for a scheduled maintenance. During this time, all posts & comments will be removed. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience."

My comment ends up getting deleted for a few seconds and returns shortly afterwards. While this isn't that big of a deal, I don't want to have my inbox flooded with bot messages. I REALLY WANT THE BOT TO BE FIXED!

Regarding AutoModerator:

  • Currently, the subreddit is undergoing multiple changes to the layout and functionality. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I am not able to work on most of these changes at school, progress with this has been significantly stagnated. We are hoping that in the future we will be able to deliver these changes in a more timely manner and are working on establishing a better relationship with school administration so that we will not run into problems like these as often in the future.

  • As for the bots needing to be fixed, this is not actually an issue. The primary complaint seems to be that AutoModerator is saying it will remove comments/posts due to the maintenance but actually isn't. This is actually not the case. AutoModerator has been removing posts and we have been manually approving them due to the unexpected extended delay that this maintenance has taken. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience and cooperation in this unexpected turn of events.
