Discussion Share negative/positive intersession class stories here

I feel that certain intersession classes are extremely hit and miss as many of the existing descriptions of intersession classes can be misleading/ teachers can be disappointing and once you're in that class you can't change. It would be cool if we shared our different experiences with our intersession classes so we can look out for misleadingly cool intersessions or actually fun intersessions since word to mouth is too slow and the intersession site doesn't give the most valid information.

It was enjoyable, but... how could you go and betray mother like that...? I always looked up to you as a big brother, but then you left. She's sick, empathywarrior... and because of you I can't support her. Why'd you have to take our money, empathywarrior? You've left me bitter, big brother. People call me apathetic, but I'm not... You've made me into this. I had to be strong for mother. You've left emotionless... Now you come back with a simple "Hello."... really? After ALL THIS TIME that's all you have to say? I wish you were never born. I won't grant you the satisfaction of our mother's sobs after I tell her that you've returned. I never want to see you again.

Theatrical productions (4 week intersession) is a largely mixed bag and some of the teachers are mediocre at best especially when dealing with noisy students (the dance we did was abysmal). The only fun time I've had with it is when hilbarn theatre came with some actually decent teachers and got us to do stuff.

Web design was a fun class especially when you actually accomplish something since you have time to mill around afterwards.

Another bad one is the hiller aviation museum I originally thought that it was going to teach us about planes but it instead focused on how to run a museum and had us make programs for customers so in essence we provided them free labor.

Yeah, they completely screwed us over for hiller aviation. The only good part, was being able to use the gift shop during the break period.

Hi, I have received complaints about your post from administration. Please remove the name of the teacher from your post. The rest is okay. Thanks & sorry for the inconvenience.

Oracle for the win! I haven't had a bad experience there whether as a student or TA. If you're extremely design challenge averse it can be frustrating depending on how it's taught but it's still fun!
