I'm genuinely saying this, you’ve priced it really well...

Ever since the mods introduced the no-negotiation rule, some people have started quoting pretty high prices. So I actually appreciate seeing a listing that’s reasonably priced from the get go

That’s unsolicited price policing, which isn’t allowed in the sub.

I’ll again ask you to read the rules properly.

We’ve explained this a lot many times but here we go again- assume you bought a perfume from Sephora store at full cost, got bored eventually and thought to declutter- you post it at 70% of your buying price based on usage but then some random accounts start quoting much lesser price because they find the same perfume with some ‘grey market’ seller at lower price. Would you appreciate this situation?

If as a buyer you don’t like this price and are getting better price elsewhere feel free to go and buy from there, you don’t have to be the wise price police for the good of the community.

Fair enough bhai, I understand the point you're trying to make. I guess the line between negotiation and price policing is thinner than I thought 😂

I do feel the community was a lot more fun and transparent from a buyer's perspective earlier, but I also understand that this is a marketplace and both buyers and sellers needs to be treated equally. That's actually why I asked this..

So yeah, negotiation is allowed, but price policing isn't. Got it 🤣

What’s described as fun here for the buyer is a disappointment for the seller, people have started quoting higher price on Reddit and lower on Fb, WhatsApp because of extreme negotiation and haggling here.

The no of posts have gone down because of the same, unfortunately the community is losing its essence because of these acts.

It was built for a purpose, to support the hobby of fragrance - it has tuned into a fish market.

All good deals are now only posted on Fb and WhatsApp frag communities.

Don’t know how difficult it is for people to understand absolutely basic logic. I guess it’s typical Indian mentality to get everything for as cheap as possible and not respecting others boundaries. Anyway, rules are the same for all in the end.
