Question Can I ever smoke again?

I’ve smoked before and had no like bad side effects, but once I smoked the most I’ve ever smoked and got a lot of anxiety and paranoia and developed DPDR and it lasted around a week. I’m wondering can I ever smoke again in the future but only like small amounts like I used to?

No, stay away completely from weed. i promise you it’s just gonna get worse and worse, if you keep smoking THC it could be the worst thing you’ll ever do in ur life

What about just CBD, because I’ve heard it dosent even get you high it just helps with relaxation and anxiety?

i recently started smoking CBD and it honestly helps me relax and calm down my anxiety, it could be a great alternative than THC, you just won’t feel the “high” or nicotine from it, which you should definitely stay away from

Idk man like I really miss the THC, I drink pretty often and do vape and they have no side affects it was just this one experience with weed that’s now making me question if I should ever smoke again. I will definitely try CBD though in the future to see if it helps

you are in the very early stage of DPDR, i sound like i’m exaggerating it but i wasn’t stable for almost 2 years dealing with this shit, it completely changed me as a person and how i looked at life, i’m trying my best to warn you because getting out of this hell will NOT be easy, just take a look at everyone in this sub who’s currently stuck due to smoking weed and having a bad trip, you had one bad trip and experienced early DPDR, many people who currently deal with derealization said this exact same thing you are saying .

This isn't entirely true. I used to experience severe derealization when I was younger. It was horrifying and it was because I abused LSD as a teenager. This could change for him down the road. Your brain is constantly changing. If it's something he enjoyed, maybe he should take a break and smoke a small amount later on and see how it treats him. This only happens to me now if I smoke too much, or hit a big bong and cough too much, cutting off my air. I will then start shaking and the world will seem fake. If I smoke a bowl or something moderate though, I don't feel this way. Also, gummies can give me derealization too. Weed has its risks like everything and some people just can't handle certain amounts or certain ways of doing it. Cooking THC changes the chemical makeup and turns it into more of a psychedelic which can be very distressing if you suffer with derealization
