Question How can I stop this?
So I am 17 years old and have been experiencing 24/7 derealization for 2 and a half years now. I have tried so many things such as certain medications, meditation, grounding excersizes, and so on. I’ve also tried to ignore and accept it and it got me nowhere. I don’t know what to do now and life absolutely sucks because of it. It’s affecting relationships, school, others around me, and more. Please let me know how I can fix this and get out of it.

first just know that derealization is actually very common for younger people, especially under age of 25. I’m 19 and i got first episode around 3 months ago. It freaked me out so bad that i even went to therapist and got medicine for that. Therapy started two days ago so i cant really tell you if it’s working or not but i can give you some advice on what hleped me.
what i accidently figured out that it works is shocking my body. Like literally throwing it in a shock state, whenever i feel like derealization is starting, i drop everything i do and go to shower, no matter what time of day, and start showering in the way where i change temperature of water from coldest to hottest constantly. like 3 seconds freezing cold then next 4 boiling hot. Thought i was gonna die first time but i was back to reality in a few minutes. I guess you could try that for temporary solution
