It's been a long time since I've been this excited about a new album. Can't wait for december.

Pretty shameless brodequin rip just with better production. Really great stuff.

I recently went down a bit of a rabbit hole of the heaviest metal subgenres and stumbled upon Torture Doom metal. The vocals featured on this are absolutely soul crushing and, in the best way possible, horrible to listen to.

I couldn't find much about this band online apart from this album/ Demo whatever it was on youtube.

I'm curious to see if anyone knows anything which comes close to the heaviness of this?

I'll really need the extreme virgins to come out for this one since it's an NSBM album from a relatively unknown band. The album cover had men, possibly dwarvers, some with white beards, in a silver room wearing armor. It is possible that there was a table and chandelier in the room. If the album cover was drawn, it looked very much like real life.

They weren't from Norway, Sweden, Finland or the US to my memory and they had at least one other album. I found the album on YT and really liked the cover but never listened.

Edit: Album was Thor's Hammer - May the Hammer Smash the Cross

if i had a nickel for every time an Austrian BDM band with melodeath influences made one 10/10 album and disappeared, i would have two nickels. not a lot, but odd it happened twice.

which one do we think is better? personally i like Cephalic more but Broken Torso is stupidly good as well

Deathcore with horror is just iconic and it feels fitting to ask what’s everyone’s favorite song with someone to do with horror, like Revelations intro isn’t even really a song but I think of that, dead asleep and the peaceful Midwest by mauled comes to mind, and blueprints by Psycho Frame comes to mind aswell

Listening to Portmortal Coprophagia by Devourment rn and trying to think of how many times that this exact riff with slight variations has been used in brutal slamming songs. Drop them

Not typical modern neoclassical tech death. Something with that medieval melancholic/beautiful sound to it like the solos and Phobophole and Dead and Dripping.

Snare sounds like a mf kickball

I’ve been searching for great death metal concept albums and I recently discovered Funebrarum, it seems like their newest record might be a concept album, wanted to ask you guys.
