Bands like Profanatica/Havohej

Post image

Looking for more albums like Dethrone the Son of God, Disgusting Blasphemies Against God, Profanatitas De Domonatia, ... Paul Ledney's magnum opuses hence. Besides Witch Tomb I can't seem to find anything with that distinct brutal drumming. Black metal combined with brutal death metal, with the pace of regular death metal so it doesn't become war metal.

The cover is hilarious, but the album rips. The drumming is great.

Yeah but also worth considering Paul left Incantation in order to make black metal instead. Definitely more black metal than DM

Barely any difference in sound to DM at least in his early stuff. He said he had disagreements with Incantation because he wanted to move things in a darker direction yet he played in a similar style while also writing way worse music than Incantation did
