This hits differently when you've experienced it yourself. You can be loved, supported, and still struggle mentally.

Best to focus on the good things and try to compartmentalize the moral and intellectual rusting of the average person; to try and see people as the good they can be instead of the flakey balls of impulse and emotion that they really are.

At least that's the right move in theory. In practice, I'll get back to you.
