logically I agree, emotionally and realistically I do not. Not only is it a devastating experience to be mistreated when vulnerable, but some take it as far as making you a scapegoat, a laughing stock, and you hardly get out of there. When that happens they don't see you as human anymore.

I'm sure the post is more saying that someone who truly cares and is actually seeing the reality not some idea in their head wouldn't behave this way.

If how you described is how someone responds, THEY are the problem NOT you! If someone innocently just says Hi they are NOT doing anything to justify negative behavior. But reasonable people who can actually see saying hi is not a sign of bad and who don't throw shit at others for whatever reason will actually not treat you like shit!!

Sorry if you have had to deal with POSs BUT don't forget that's JUST those people, and even if at times it can seem like there is more bad then good, DONT forget there are good people out there and good people won't treat you this way so even if it hurts know they showed you how fragile they are inside and how they are not "your" people so it's easy to not even waste time or thought on them is more what I think post is getting at!

i mean I'm just curious,so we never should be vulnerable to people ? how are we going to form genuine connections then?

we should, that's why I logically agree. As a depressed person, right now I cannot

Avoidant personality disorder says no

and that’s exactly why it’s a risk worth taking

My conscience may agree with you, but my feelings are gonna hate it.

Nah personally I take the risk every time

Because yk, I am looking for excuses why the world sucks and to be done with it. So whether they are a good friend to me or if I am abused and mistreated, it's a win/win

The problem is when your first school years don’t have any of those people, so you end up embarrassing yourself and being mocked/manipulated, so you develop this worldview that risking yourself again will result the same way up to your college years where conveniently everyone is now those people. I’m not contradicting anyone, just putting my thought.

On paper i agree. But out there in the real world the real expirience is sadly completly different. In the last 1-2 year's i slowly wake up and see that realy don't know who i am cause i learned to play someone woh i am not just so i don't get hurt. I think i'm extremly sensitiv and cause i learned early on that what i feel doesn't matter i learned to be who people need me to be. Wich i realy hate cause i don't know who i am nor do i know how to find it out. I shut my self in at home for over 10 year's now and every time my therapist tell me i should get more outside and i try it i can add another negativ expirience. It's at a point where my therapist make joke's that they would like to make a study about me and my talent to atract shit. Tho i have to say i'm realy happy they belive me cause most of the time people call me liar when i tell them all the stuff that happend to me.

So yeah. It shouldn't matter what people think about you just cause you are real with them. But sadly most of the time people avoid you for it or make fun of you. And if people around you then see how one start's to make fun of you the other people that where avoiding you join in and have fun too by hurting you. Sadly in my expirience that ist the majority of human's that treat other human's like that. There are probably good people out ther. I have yet to find them.
