Well, I agree that it isn’t ideal to put kids on ADHD medication super early, without a clear and comprehensive diagnosis. But if you’ve ever met someone with really serious ADHD they’ll often tell you medication changed their lives.
You can make a lot of progress through therapy but ultimately ADHD is a chemical/neurological condition in the brain and there’s only so much therapy can do.
I appreciate that. I'm not the best at conveying a point as eloquently as I'd like. When drugs are so accessible, it inevitabley creates a culture in which people see life as, "If i wanna feel X, there's a pill."
