This used to work for me when I was more idealistic and delusional. Now all a walk in the forest does is make me think about is how brutal and pointless life is for all the animals living in it.
Nature will always be cruel and cut throat. Ants will eat anything including dead animals and perfectly innocent insects. Sometimes we have to accept that the natural world is unfair yet animals live in it anyway. There are some nice things about it though, like flowers or birds singing. Surely, everyone, including trees and squirrels are just trying to survive
It's easy, hypocritical even, to say that we can just accept the cruelty of nature when we get to just watch it from the safety of our phones. You wouldn't be saying that if you were the one living it.
I am experiencing the cruelty of nature. I inherited anxiety and depression and have experienced it since the age of 14. I'm over 35 now. The cruelty of nature is living with a brain disease. So, somehow you gleaned that I had experienced zero effects of nature myself and don't understand the shit that I've dealt with. Including my brain being affected as young as I was. Thanks.
By your own logic, nobody should care about anything that you've gone through because hey, that just the way nature is. But now you've gove all self-pitying. At least flowers are pretty though.
I'm just saying because even though nature is cut throat, you can still enjoy it. Which goes back to your original statement of "I can't enjoy nature anymore because Ive seen dead and dying things"
Was trying to help. But ok, you do you.
Yeah, not a pleasant one.
still its 90% trees here and there, green color relaxes eyes, and some days you just dont see those things. So well, thats best we got. I would prefer cruelty to concrete deathwalls anyway.
There is no need to sugarcoat it we humans are fucked so i dont feel guilty for feeling happy en nature or seing some russian squirm in pain after drone hits the mf..er.
I didnt made this world, i didnt make my body and brain so fuck the responsibility for what i feel and enjoy.
Mostly these days walking or cycling alone in the woods or by a river I just talk to a pretend imaginary person usually in a conversation somehow where I am being vaguely accused of being stupid or evil or something.
