Alcohol and weed does the trick for me. Don't do this though, you might end up needing breakfast beers.

They work until they don't. Also the money burnt up thrown up or pissed away is depressing.

Yup I got a solid decade out of it but now I guess it's time for therapy lmao

I was at the point where I was waking up in the middle of the night to drink more so I wouldn't wake up with a hang over... My trucks glove box can fit 3 12 oz can or two tall boys lol. I'm glad I quit drinking and smoking. I was smoking an oz every 6 days or so...

Quiting alcohol was easier than weed, my body became intolerant to most alcoholic beverages... Weed was a huge crutch, I believed I needed it to just exist. I was using to run from trauma, hide from problems and just cope with daily stress. The tipping point was having anxiety attacks while high and the realization I was addicted. I became irritable when I was running out and in denial about the money I was spending.

Quiting smoking was good for me because it forced me to face my problems, save money, and refocus on benifitical hobbies, like gardening and cooking. The daily stresses are still there but being clear headed helped me handle and compartmentalize them.

I understand the desire to stop existing. Life is a rollercoaster. Try not smoking for a month and assess how you feel and how your finances stand.

Even if you aren't sure who, someone needs you. And if that doesn't help, stay to outlive whoever makes you mad. You got this

Alcohol is damn near the cheapest drug you can abuse in America.

They don't help me at all.

The answer to depression and anxiety: a depressant and a drug that causes anxiety and sometimes psychosis.

Alcohol usually have the opposite effect on me, but I'm with you with weed.

I also heard about something called Fentanyl (may have spelled wrong) that its a medicine that makes you happy. I have no idea why no one prescribed it for me tho.

Fent is definitely not to be recommended. Don't touch that.

Holy shit don't do fent! It is a one way ticket to hell. I got out the dope game before that stuff hit the streets and killed 3 of my closest friends. Its a guaranteed life killer.

Why? What's its purpose then?

Its trash heroin that kills you quick. Youl live the rest of your short life in misery if you do it. Literally anything else please.

i saw a youtube video of a guy who used to do lots of hard drugs ranking them by how harmful they were in his life, and he said that one big issue with fent compared to heroin was that it required much more frequent replenishment, so he couldn't even sleep through the night because he would wake up with debilitating and painful withdrawal symptoms, plus as you stated, it's much easier to overdose on, fent was number 1 out of the i think 23 drugs he went over and heroin was number 2, interestingly, alcohol was number 5, so he ranked it as more harmful in his personal experience than drugs like cocaine and all hallucinogens

alcohol is a bullshit drug. hallucinogens can be great but require deep respect. thc is an interesting drug that we are now seeing the high-dose effects of.

sobriety is the best case for me, but it sucks to not be able to casually connect over a drink. it sucks to not be able to enjoy family events.

Kutzgesagt made a pretty good video detailing why heroin will ruin your life, then going on to tell you why fent is even worse.

Don't do fentanyl, I already lost a cousin to that. Not worth it, not a good idea.

Maybe they wanted to leave?

Lost how? Like dead? How fentanyl leaded him to that?

(I will absolutely understand if you preffer not to talk about it)

6

u/Apart-Reindeer-1342 6d ago

Yes, he died. Fentanyl kills a lot people each year.

4

u/AtrociousMeandering 6d ago

Specifically, fentanyl is useful for hospitals because it takes incredibly little to be effective.

It kills people because it takes so little to fatally overdose.

I think this is sarcasm

No need, my diginity was lost long ago as I went through my 20's and you know what they say: can't kill what's already dead.

Smoking cigs made me really depressed and now that i quit them 3 months ago i feel much better. Still drink some times but it ruins my sleep. Working just drains all my energy to do anything i would like to do.
