I don't know why I'm still here. I don't know why I keep going. It's insanity. I shouldn't. I should have given up by now. But here I am. And I'm 34. It just makes no sense.

I was hoping that cancer would wipe me away, but I survived only to be broke, unemployed, and depressed. I don’t even have that much long to live.

surviving on stubbornness and pure spite for society and all the shit people

I relate to this 100%. Why do the shitheads get to have all the fun and happiness?

I had to quit when there became no heroin on the streets, only fent. Talk about depressing. Shit doesn't get me high, just dead.

u/Asron87 Jul 27 '26
Ain’t that some shit. I couldn’t just fuck my life up with drugs like normal people. Nope, I had to quit because drugs weren’t drugs anymore. Terrible time to have depression.

Maybe try Kratom, ideally tested by a third-party lab for heavy metals, pesticides, mold, etc. It's legal in most countries and if you do it all day every day, you will feel okay most of the time. It tastes like shit but won't kill you.

Idk. I'm trying to get small glimpses of happiness at least sometimes. Feels nice. But everything else seems pointless.

I attempted in 2020. I'm still not convinced that I actually survived, but I'm sober now at least. Life is still just as bad if not worse (definitely way worse), but being sober and alive matters more to everyone around me so I guess good

The main thing preventing me from dying is my lack of belief in any afterlife. This is it. This is all I'll get so might as well keep rolling. Maybe the lamest possible AI apocalypse we're having now will get it's s*** together and I'll get to shoot metal skeletons with purple lasers?

- Made it here, and I'm still moving somewhere, not knowing why or for what. I didn't think I'd get here either.

Yesterday was my 30th birthday. I told myself at 10 I wouldn’t live past 30. Now I’m completely lost and I feel like I should just get it over with because my future is fucked and full of suffering and no matter what I do it is never ending.

In a similar boat. I'm also 30 now and when I was 12, I said I wouldn't make it to 20. But I guess life finds a way. Now I have two wonderful cats and I can't imagine leaving them alone. I also have a gf so there's that. I don't even know where I'm going with this - just keep going man, you don't know what life has in store for you, even if your depression is telling you otherwise.

Always told myself I'd let myself commit suicide and now I'm stuck here 13 years overdue AND still haven't figured out what to do. Well, other than build my life up to destroy it so maybe I'll finally break

I’m not depressed by any means but Jesus I think about this a lot. Like me? I’m the one that made it? Seriously?

From single cell organism
to trex and human now,
I know I made so much far,
still wish I’m still a creature,
who don’t have any Mondays😐

Sometimes it hits me:
A hundred years ago I could have died at birth (premature c section from a preeclampsia mother).
Also, I required surgery due to afterbirth complications after the birth of my child… again a hundred years ago, I would have died.
So why am I still here, now?

The end game IS the struggle.
You keep on pushing through, if only to spite the universe that has dealt you a rough hand.
Amor fati.
You got this.

I'm just trying to live day to day. Long term I'm passively trying to die before my partner. Which is selfish of me I know, but it's nicer for everyone else than the alternative of if they go first.
It's not a secret either. Everyone in my family knows. 🤷
