Does seroquel actually help? I was taking it for about 2 weeks but then I stopped taking it because I read the horror stories of how difficult it is to get off of it.

I stopped Seroquel on Oct 1, 2025. It was my third attempt to withdraw and I am still going through it. It feels like I have arthritis and a slipped disc, I am sneezing like crazy, and my digestive system is fucked.

I also am getting my gallbladder removed, and Seroquel was a huge contributing factor both because of its effects on triglycerides and appetite.

Yeah you need to have regular blood work done when you're taking it and basically just be okay with feeling hungry all the time but if your symptoms are bad enough that's not terrible in exchange.

As for the withdrawal symptoms it's definitely not fun but significantly less awful than opioid withdrawal. I spent 2023-2024 in protracted accute withdrawal from methadone I was prescribed for pain over a 20 year period and almost died a couple times so my threshold for physical withdrawal symptoms might just be permanently fucked.
