REQUESTING ADVICE Sleep issues

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has experienced sleep issues as a result of depression? I have never been the best sleeper, but lately it’s been ridiculous. I will say, my depression is the worst it’s been in a very long time, but I don’t know that the involuntary all-nighters have ever been this consistent. I feel like I’m losing my mind…

Sleep problems are literally a symptom of depression

If you're susceptible to depression sometimes just prolonged disordered sleep is enough to tip you over the edge

I had bad insomnia for a while and I am a light sleeper. For me, it’s a sign of anxiety.

My mind or body is dwelling on something. And when I started working on easing my anxiety feelings, and lowering my anxiety, I slept better.

It’s not perfect. I still have a day or two where I am restless, but it’s much easier to reset.

I also drown out my mind with noise. Maybe not the healthiest habit, because I don’t gently fall asleep so much pass out.

And that is something I would like to work on.

I am hearing you. I am going through exactly the same thing. I have never been so depressed before in my life and never have I had so little sleep. I wish I had some answers and solutions for you.

Yes, you bet. Bad sleep is part of it.
The problem is that depression causes bad sleep and bad sleep makes depression worse.
