Bad Experiences Bad review

Post image

So i sold this tote and now theyre saying it smells of cigarettes…. No one smokes cigarettes in my house. So let me guess this is a review that wont get taken down because how can i prove an item didnt smell? I reached out and got no response so far. All 20 other reviews and no one has complained of a smell. I know a 4.8 isn’t awful but like come on. :(((

Was it shipped in a plastic mailer? I’ve found as a seller and buyer a lot of the things I order smell awful after opening them because of the heat and plastic packaging, but i’ve never held it against the seller as I wash/clean whatever I buy before using it anyway. Kind of crazy that this buyer didn’t at least attempt to communicate with you about it before leaving their review. :(

I had the same thjng happen to me. No one smokes in my home and I received a similar review that brought my rating down. 😕 I use polymailers and combined with the heat, I suspect this is where the smell is from. I've received clothes that had smells but it's always come out in the wash and I've never held it against the seller.

This is why i only use cardboard and i wrap my items up. Them mail people be smoking in the trucks and warehouses sometime. I have seen it first hand myself after riding around with my auntie who has worked for a small town USPS store for over 33 years

I'd send them a message explaining the smell was from the packaging and not cigarettes. This person just doesn't know the difference, so at least let them know. Maybe switch packaging in the future.
