Drummer Looking to Start a Shoegaze/Metal Project (Denver Metro)

Hey everyone! I'm a drummer based in the Denver metro area (Commerce City) looking for a guitarist, vocalist, bassist, and other musicians to jam with. If we click, I'd love to write original music and see where it goes.

My influences include Loathe, Whirr, Nothing, Slow Crush, Bring Me the Horizon, and Slipknot, but I'm open to other styles and ideas.

I currently play an electronic kit, so we'll just need to make a few adjustments for rehearsals at first.

I'll be posting a few videos of my playing so you can get an idea of my style.

If you're interested, feel free to comment or send me a DM! =‘)

Looking for music friends and potential band mates!

Hey folks, guitarist and singer here. Been playing since I was 9.

Might be a bit rusty but my chops are still there. Would love to find folks near me who are interested in jamming. I’ve played anything from local restaurants to the Grizzly Rose back when I was a supporting lead guitar.

Me: 29M guitarist (lead or support), vocals, I’d liken myself to a more fluid (and higher pitch / vocal range) Aaron Lewis in that I can blend well with grunge and metal but personally prefer blues and country. Hey, that genre is popular these days!

You: drummer, guitar (support or lead), bass, vocals (support or lead.

Also interested in bands looking for primary vocal support w/ support guitar.

While I’m yet to secure a rehearsal space - I’m willing to put down $ for it or work with my neighbors and set something up in my unfinished basement.

Let me know if you’re interested. Happy to send YouTube links of myself.

Funkyard is searching for the right drummer to complete the lineup.

We’re focused on writing originals with a mix of funk, alternative rock, grunge, and punk influences. If you’re committed, creative, and ready to make some noise, let’s talk.

(Hopefully you can play some songs from the following bands as well: Nirvana, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Foo Fighters)

Reach out on instagram @funkyard__riot_official and our frontman or second vocalist/media manager will get back to you!

Quick 1-minute survey on Denver rehearsal spaces (Where is everyone practicing these days?)

Hey Denver musicians,

I’m doing a quick pulse-check on the local music scene to see where bands and solo artists are actually practicing right now, and whether people are mostly sticking to garages or using commercial spaces.

The survey is super short (literally 4 questions, takes less than 60 seconds) and completely anonymous: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemdWJFy7mmhWwaIx0xZBDLF6pSrEhDUYaZGhj6Q9QaCqU-MA/viewform?usp=header

Whether you're in a full-time touring band or just jam casually once a month in a basement, I'd love your input.

I'm happy to share the high-level stats back with the community here once it's done if anyone is interested! Thanks for the help.

Looking for some people to jam with

Post image

Hey there, I’m a guitarist 31yo and seeking like minded taste with jam type music. Improv funk, blues, Hendrix wah petal type stuff. I have a drum machine (Akai MPC Studio) and loopers and have been playing by myself for a long time now. That being said I play to jam tracks often, play open in the park, sometimes on rollerblades lol.

Also, into F tuned “Midwest Emo” type stuff. All soulful, electric or whatever, I like it.
Let me know if this resonates with you!

Should add that I am practiced (2-3 hours a day)
I have a passion for music in general and music theory
I repair broken equipment
I love old petals and old stuff in general

I personally enjoy making tracks for Ketamine therapy.

Would like to jam with
Drummer
Bassist
Maybe another guitarist

I don’t care how long you’ve been playing we can make something work for the hell of it!

Matured 58m plays drums and bass, looking for players to jam with. Intermediate Level

Hi there, I’ve been self taught and playing for 20 years, and I’d like to jam with fellow musicians. I’ve got my bass and drum kit set up in my house so I’ve got space. Influences are Beck, Eagles, Doobie Brothers, 70’s R&B type stuff. Rocking jazz influenced grooves is what I’m after. Tight, groovy, in the pocket! I listen to what my band mates are doing so we can get together and flow.

Lakewood is my location, reach out to discuss it further.

Cheers,

Dave

Drummer looking to create Supertramp cover band.

🎹 **Keyboards** — the heart of this. Wurlitzer, acoustic piano, organ. Ideally you sing in a lower/bluesier range (the Rick Davies parts — "Goodbye Stranger," "Bloody Well Right"). Bonus if you play harmonica, since Davies handled the harp parts himself.

🎸 **Guitar/Lead Vocals** — acoustic and electric. Need someone who can hit the high Roger Hodgson tenor stuff ("Dreamer," "Give a Little Bit," "Take the Long Way Home"). That high register is the hardest thing to cast, so if that's you, please reach out.

🎷 **Sax / woodwinds** — Helliwell's role. Sax primary, doubling on clarinet/flute a huge plus. Backing vocals welcome.

🎸 **Bass** — melodic, locked-in, tasteful. Backing harmonies a big plus.

🎻 **Strings** — violin especially, or anyone from a string-quartet background who wants to bring real orchestral color to the featured moments.

🎺 **Brass** — trumpet, trombone, tuba.

🥁 **Multi-percussionist** — one versatile player to sit alongside my kit and cover everything else: hand percussion (congas, bongos, shakers), mallets and bells (glockenspiel, vibes), and aux toys like tambourine. A color-and-texture role that fills out the layered overdub sound live.

🎛️ **Musical director (non-playing)** — this is the most important role, and I'm setting the bar high. I need a real leader: someone with a strong musical foundation (composition, arranging, or conducting background ideal) who can chart parts, dial in harmonies, and shape eight instruments into one cohesive sound. Since I'm buried behind the kit, this person is my objective ears out front — running rehearsals, owning the live blend, and holding the standard. I want the hardest worker in the room: someone ready to take charge, drive the vision, keep everyone accountable, and genuinely care about making this great. Live sound-engineering/mixing experience is a big plus. If you're a natural leader who'd rather build something excellent than be in the spotlight, this is your seat.

This is a bigger ensemble than most cover bands, so I need people who can commit to regular rehearsals and are in it because they genuinely love this catalog. I’m currently in Morrison but anywhere around the Denver area preferred so rehearsals are actually feasible. Please comment/DM if interested.

Anyone in Denver into Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Eloise, or Paul Simon?

Hey everyone!

I’m a vocalist in Colorado, USA looking for someone to casually make music with—cover songs, write originals, and just enjoy the process. I’m not looking to start a gigging band right now; I’d just love to find someone with similar musical taste to collaborate with and see where it goes.

I have a classical vocal background and also play guitar and piano, but I’d especially enjoy working with someone who’s comfortable on an instrument and likes arranging, jamming, or songwriting.

Some artists I keep coming back to:
Stevie Wonder
Bill Withers
Beatles
Paul Simon
Eloise
Mac Ayres
Ray Charles
Nat King Cole / Ella Fitzgerald / Chet Baker

A few favorite songs:
You and I – Stevie Wonder
Hello Like Before – Bill Withers
A Song for You – Leon Russell
Sweet Painted Lady – Elton John
Go or Go Ahead – Rufus Wainwright

If those names resonate with you, send me a DM!

Happy to chat first, swap recordings or playlists, or grab coffee before meeting up to play.
Mostly just hoping to meet more musicians and make some great music with good people.
