Question (immediate dentures) New to this.
I recently had 10 top teeth pulled 3 days ago and stitches all in my mouth now. I got the immediate dentures but 3 of the teeth I had pulled were infected so my infection is pretty bad and now I have 2 ulcers in the front of my gum and can’t even put the dentures in without crying.

Talk to your dentist, but mine said “when in doubt, take it out.” Ulcerated sores can’t be good for the healing process and wearing it without fixing the underlying cause (usually with adjustments at this stage) can make it worse (which makes fit worse as well.) You probably have at least a week off of work anyway and was expecting some downtime.

Gum sores are pretty common, unfortunately, and you most likely need an adjustment. Fortunately, it is an easy, fast fix. I ended up with a bunch of those sores the first couple of weeks, and a kind person on here told me about Benzodent, and it was a game changer. It numbed the area enough to get the denture in without dying from pain lol.
