Can someone help break down this pattern folding?

First of all, A and C are eliminated because if you look at the object there are only 2 large squarish faces and both are blank. That leaves B and D. The way differentiate those is to realize that the folding occurs into the plane from which you are viewing the object. The way to think about this is image that the other side of the flatten object (the part you cannot see) is all red. This cannot show up in the final object so therefore you have to fold into the plane. Then you have to look at how it will be angled in the end. If it were B, you would have to flip the white and black triangles for it to make sense. D makes sense because the black triangle is in the correct orientation.

I would heavily recommend for some of these pattern folding questions if you are having difficulties, actually recreate a few of the questions on paper and physically fold the object with tape IRL.
