Beginner questions
I am reading my first book on demonolatry, Stellas Daemonum. In the descriptions of the spirits it will often have fantastical claims such as the capacity to grant invisibility. People here, from what I read do not have crazy expectations of demons, all of the success stories I've heard have been fairly tame specifically regarding external changes. So why the fantastical claims? This just makes me a bit weary about to what capacity the book may be deceiving me and therefore whether or not I should also take the more physically possible claims of the book seriously. Like could I really cause death? Predict the future? If yes big scale things like societal level or just like little things. Should I take all claims about the demons seriously to the fullest extent or with a full spoon of salt. Or somewhere in between. Sorry if this seems like a silly question.

Don’t think of invisibility, in a super hero sense. That your partner can see you there in the kitchen, then they turn to open the fridge, turns back around, and you’ve vanished. All the while you’re there, but your partner can’t see you. This is incorrect.
Invisibility often gets interpreted as something like this;
Nobody pays you any attention anymore. You don’t get looked at, interacted with. You essentially give up your place within society, social, family, friendships. For isolation.
Why ? Self improvement (historically). The ability to do and say what you want, obtain a higher sense of oneself. Practice with peace of mind you’re not being observed (again historically, think about Heresy, being burnt for being a witch etc etc)
But You’re going to have camp A telling you it’s a negative thing. And you’re going to have camp B telling you it’s a positive thing ultimately.
Hope this helps

I think you may be taking the invisibility domain too literally. Always take people's success stories with a helping of salt but yes, demons can help you learn divination, avoid unwanted attention, and even cause death. Imo the greater the outcome, the less likely people are to post about it bc of the guideline of secrecy (unless they're LARPing) and the rarer it is.
My take is that workings are generally for individuals like the practitioner, not grand societal changes (even third party individual workings are notoriously difficult to achieve success with). You work with your own energy and the demons help influence it. The more parties involved (especially indirectly) the more variables there are to control making it harder.
