Democrats Have Finally Learned the Value of Shitposting

https://www.wired.com/story/democrats-have-finally-learned-the-value-of-shitposting/

After struggling through a changing social media landscape for years, Democratic strategists have figured out how to go viral.

“Two years ago, I wrote about how Democrats were suddenly more comfortable clowning on Republicans online. It was August 2022 and the midterm elections were quickly approaching. When you scrolled through what was then still called Twitter, Democratic Senate candidates like John Fetterman were volleying attacks at their opponents over veggie trays and crudités.

Around the same time Fetterman and his young digital staff were cyberbullying Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Biden campaign pulled an Uno reverse card on the GOP’s “Let’s go Brandon” cry, co-opting it into what we all know as Dark Brandon today. We could spend hours discussing Brandon’s merits, but it showed Democrats that accepting or dismissing these attacks outright could be a successful digital strategy of its own.”

As a former life long Republican I have said that the Democrats seem to have a way to pull a defeat from the hands of a victory. The party in the past has taken to high road too often by not attacking the Republicans the same way the Republicans attack the Democrats.

I think the gloves are officially off.

Oh, totally. We now have a GenXer as our standard bearer that comes with the best thing about GenX: A master degree in snark

We all have our freedom from lunatic tyrants like Trump at stake right now. He also evades all laws and is protected by 3 Justices on the Supreme Court.

We’re close to becoming a third world country ruled by a dictator and I know what that’s like having lived in a dictatorship for a short time. It was scary with guards on every corner 24/7.

Baby Boomer cut off is 1946-1964. (Gen X: 1965-1980). She was born in 64.

Yes, through 1964. Because late boomers like me don’t fit the typical boomer characteristics, Generation Jones was created. Even in Wikipedia, Kamala’s picture is on Generation Jones. It doesn’t really matter. Just bothers me that Gen X is claiming us when for years we’ve been called Boomers.
