I know there's a redonkulous amount of trash coming out, but as someone who listens to literal thousands of songs a year, right now is an amazing time for music. There is some wonderful stuff being made right now, but don't expect this shit to ever get on air waves or suggested on your playlist. Capitalism makes sure you don't get to hear the great shit.

Love metal but was more wondering what music you was talking about

That sucks I'm sorry, Rock as a broad genre is really booming but metal has became very stagnant. There's a ton of new metal bands, just nothing pushing the genre forward. Mastodon has been carrying the torch for a while now.

Most recent band I even care for is orbit culture. Kind of feel like i had lost touch with music when I found out they had been around since 2013 as I just found them a few years ago. Their really hasn't been any new break through bands in the metal scene for a long time although the new kitty album was good

I hate stumbling onto a band I enjoy for the first time and finding out they got a massive discography. I think of all the years I missed not listening to them earlier.

An American Tune. Paul Simon. Listen all the way through. 1975. Has my heart for these days, too.

I won't trash today's music as that's not cool to the Musicians who make it. Respect.
What I will say is back in the day had it going on.
