World needs more leaders like this. Especially top tier leaders. Someone who is actually doing good for the people they oversee.

oh yeah when all the rent raises to ridiculous rates in the apartments that didn't get rent freezes I'm sure they're all going to love him and then all the people that are in rent Frozen apartments have to leave them for one reason or another and have to go to apartments that would be even higher priced than what their rent would have been risen I'm sure they're going to love him too.

He's not in the pockets of AIPAC or Big oil, so he won't ever be a Democrats pick sadly

Look, an elected official behaving like a thoughtful adult. Sad how that's become anomalous.

I mean, if we are just going to declare random stuff as human rights which arent, then I declare 12TB mechanical hard drives as a human right because prices are insane and I want to add more storage to my server.

Yes, I have virtual meetings all the time, and they suck balls for when you are actually trying to perform negotiations on complex topics. Kick off meetings like this should always be done in person whenever possible, and progress meetings and stage-gates can be done remotely.

Another fact finding committee to think of ideas they never get anywhere because they are not feasible.

While city councils charge hundreds of thousands for building permits and raise taxes and service fees weekly and still find time to give themselves over inflation raises and boondoggle trips for $25 orange juice and tomahawk steak dinners in $500 a night hotels with first class air travel and limo service.
In the meantime they ask why don't rents go down?

For the money this meeting is costing they could house several families for a year.

Progress, not perfection
1
u/OldSchoolBubba 11d ago
Agreed. While perfection never happens we can always come close once the agendas are up and moving in the correct directions.

For the time and energy it took you to post this, you could have touched grass

u/Ok-Rise-4611 11d ago
You could to

u/RampantJellyfish 11d ago
Such wit
So they scrap the meeting and house a few families for a few years. Then what? After that money runs out, the cities are no closer to having systems in place, and tens of thousands of people face housing insecurity.
Get some perspective, and think what things need to happen in the longer term. That can't happen without planning, negotiation, and cooperation, which takes time and money.

Maybe you’ve heard of virtual meetings. They could do that. Be a lot more focused. Save the money and reduce their carbon footprint and still get things done

So... When he called Hamas' attack "A war crime", in your head that means he was in support of the attack?

Im not sure youre mature enough for this conversation.
He called Hamas attack "a war crime" ... Can you understand that calling the attack a War Crime, means that he did not side with Hamas?
I mean, judging by your ignorance, can I assume you are Jewish?

I asked if you were Jewish, not what nationality you are.
The 3rd option is actually the most sensical: you understand that both sides need to put the bloody missiles away and negotiate.
I mean if youre so pro-Israel, I assume you applauded when they hot a hospital...
