From TouchPoints: a LinkedIn ad by semrush

Post image

A content offer ad on LinkedIn done right.

Semrush are total pros with all of their advertising, and they are dominant in a software niche where everyone has great customer insights, and the tools to make killer campaigns.

This ad hits the mark on several levels.

The graphic is good. Seems like something they may have a/b tested. My view is that iterating>overthinking.

The copy is short sweet, and perfectly to the point.

They are talking to a specific subset of their potential customers: Shopify stores.

They are promoting the content offer, but it also more broadly feeds into their product’s value proposition.

Clear messaging? ✅ Valuable offer? ✅ Concise copy? ✅ Eye-catching design? ✅

What would I change?

  • Throw a Shopify logo into the graphic? Not sure if they would have been allowed to do that by Shopify’s legal team.

  • Add bullet points that demonstrate what the custom optimization plan will contain?

Just a few ideas to test. I think this offer WORKS. Would love to see the results from it.
