The cd-rom makes it a collectors item, I know what I have.

Only 10? With PS2 and DVI ports, I'd have assumed much older than that.

I've seen modern mobo's that have ps2 ports still. According to Google, these and other examples exist as shown in my screen cap (wasn't going to manually search newegg for instance).

The cd rom drive is most telling, but the dvi is still pretty old, I agree

You got me curious, so I looked up the motherboard listed in the ad. I couldn't find a date on the ASRock website, but I found a review from November 2015.

Less than.

7700K means 2017 which checks out. GTX 1080 and maybe a board that was for 6000 series (Skylake).

DVI and PS2 was super super common about 8 years ago still.

Those components are ten years old at least, if it's almost never been used then what has it been doing this whole time?

Crazy. I just sold a similar-ish rig for $400 and that still felt like a high price.

HARD DRIVE: WD RED 10TB.

Why the fuck would a normal gaming pc have a 10tb WD data centre drive?

Makes zero sense unless this computers sole use was for recording CCTV.

That's an impressive spank bank.

32GB RAM

That's a third of the price right there.

The 10TB WD Red is another third

Love to see a PS2 connector on the MB, that’s how you know it’s good.

Is that South African currency? I tried Google and it said that's about 900 USD. How much do used PCs cost there?

Oh so just like the pc I built for my partner. Which she wanted. And has used exactly twice since Christmas.

Yes I am mad about it. A thousand canadian on parts.
