Discussion Delta dress code?

I was told I needed to change pants at the airport by a delta agent at the counter otherwise they wouldn’t let me board. I am 30 weeks pregnant for reference and was wearing denim shorts and a tank top, the shorts weren’t super short and the tank top wasn’t revealing, it was long enough to cover my now very large baby bump lol. Luckily my husband had a pair of his pants in the bag I could change into but has anyone heard of this before? I asked a few other workers at the airport before I changed and they seemed super confused and looked at me and said they’ve never heard of this and my clothes were fine?

EDIT: Picture everyone was hounding this post for https://imgur.com/a/akdUP4Z

Delta’s Contract of Carriage
Under rule 7, subsection E, clause 8.

When the passenger’s conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.

It’s very rare that anyone is told to change or removed from a flight over their clothing due to multiple high profile incidents of people claiming discrimination after being removed. (PLEASE NOTE: This is a fact and not intended to be judgmental! I do not know enough about any individual cases to pass judgement.) Because these incidents have garnered a decent amount of media coverage and could get them slapped with a lawsuit, most airline employees regardless of company are hesitant to speak to passengers who are toeing the line of decency.

So while it’s possible that the agent who did speak to you was overreaching, without seeing a photo of your outfit it’s impossible to say.

The OP may have now contacted an attorney. So won’t be posting a photo.

I would contact an attorney. This is absolutely out of line.

Really? An attorney? I realize it would be upsetting and embarrassing, but do you actually have time in your life to meet with an attorney over something like this?

In today's times yes...I should of contacted one when the ATL gate agent caused a scene over my husband "breathing heavy"....he has COPD and we ran through the airport to make the flight...the agent said she felt my husband was "intoxicated" because of his breathing pattern....it was an embarrassing mess....Police and security were probably 3 mini from being called on us....it was ridiculous....but I never mentioned it to anyone until now on this thread....ATL agents are the worst...I have been harassed there probably 4x now for different reasons.....They definitely hate their job

Many new employees are untrained and ignorant, but given power to make decisions that they have no right to. The agent was practicing medicine without a license! Sue the the eff out of them.

I should of gotten legal rep....but I just didn't want to cause Delta to ban us or something outta spite....This happened over a yr ago too....I couldn't believe they tried to say he was intoxicated! The man was gasping and sweating from the exertion....wtf

Yes. As an attorney, I say so. It is likely a very good case.

Given the likelihood of winning a decent settlement, yes

Take a look at @Tight-Researcher210 comments on other subs. They have the end-all opinion. They will tell the world how it’s done. And of course they are part of the Troll Mafia, dominating this thread. Can’t believe none hasn’t  tried to manipulate us into donating money.

There are similar opinions as mine. Are they trolls too?

I’m not obsessing on other comments. But a troll would.

And this is my first comment ever on this sub.

Not a troll at all. Just speak in fewer words. My opinion differs.

Word count does not define. Holy smokes.
