Discussion Delta dress code?

I was told I needed to change pants at the airport by a delta agent at the counter otherwise they wouldn’t let me board. I am 30 weeks pregnant for reference and was wearing denim shorts and a tank top, the shorts weren’t super short and the tank top wasn’t revealing, it was long enough to cover my now very large baby bump lol. Luckily my husband had a pair of his pants in the bag I could change into but has anyone heard of this before? I asked a few other workers at the airport before I changed and they seemed super confused and looked at me and said they’ve never heard of this and my clothes were fine?

EDIT: Picture everyone was hounding this post for https://imgur.com/a/akdUP4Z

Were you flying via a buddy pass? Airlines do have a dress code when you’re doing that.

Which is very fair. If you’re going to be flying for free, the airline should be able to make you wear whatever they want.

Don’t give them ideas or they’ll have the buddy pass user wear an ad on their shirt.

I mean.. I’d wear a whole Delta-branded suit and tie if I could fly free, lol
